It is caused by abuse and other emotional exposures during childhood. Most likely but the reality is that there is an abundance of liars in both the mainstream and alternative media. Though science is fallable as well since it is constantly altered but he is justified wanting to know the original source.

I work in a factory that manufactures plastic film. I work with the raw resin pellets and the finished film. During the process the film is heated to ~400 degrees and when it comes out of the die there are particles of it that go into the air, you can tell because the support structure around the die is covered in weird plastic goop. So the shit is literally in the air and if you're near it you're probably breathing it in. As far as I know there are no health concerns stemming from this process, so I'm very skeptical of this plastic poisoning shit. People who have been working there for decades haven't turned gay or autistic, they mostly just get depressed because it can be a shit place to work at times. Maybe other processes or resins are more toxic, but we make a lot of different kinds of film and they're all safe, in fact many of them are food-grade.

And yes we've made plastic used in some part of a diaper, I've seen a work order stating "used for diaper film."
