Y'know, I've been reading her stuff for a long time and I've gotten used to her having a very slow burn style of writing stories where things tend to happen very gradually, but holy shit does it not work very well in a one chapter per month format.

This was definitely it's most egregious last month. The previous chapter of Most Magical Place (the one from July) had ended on a pretty strong cliffhanger that implied shit was about to get real, then it took her literally until the last day of August to update the story and the cliffhanger was quickly cut off and ditched and something completely different and definitely not as good wound up happening instead. So it took like six weeks between chapters and it just wound up being a huge misdirect.

Teasing and misdirecting is fine, but not when it takes that long between chapters and every story is doing it. It'd make more sense to just do one story at a time, but I'm sure that'd cut into her bottom line significantly since stories are her most expensive tier.

I dunno why I'm writing this many words for patreon diaper smut. Waiting six weeks for that update really triggered me, I guess.

Whether you have a right to intellectual property is the government's decision. I'm not saying I agree with intellectual property but damages are damages. You've already accepted in your example (the drop in profits) a complete counter-argument to the comic which was central to my point- (potential profits are a real thing)

The captions aren't even the appeal anyway, imo or if they are, they're an extremely small part of it. She uses the same basic tropes over and over and conveys them extremely quickly. because that's what the medium requires and some of them are decent for a quick wank but little else. I saw that one before and I thought it was okay. It mainly used description to tell a story, which when you're dealing with such short stories, is usually the best way to go. The other one pissed me off because of the dialogue and the sound effect. When you're dealing with ABDL content, it's really easy to fall into a trap of writing terrible dialogue (PPP falls into this too). And description is always going to be better than a "PRRFFFFT" sound effect.

What audio recorder did you use?

I use adobe audition CC 2018, but i pirated all adobe's shit so it's free for me.

If you don't want to pirate, audacity is amazing. They've got fantastic mp3 codecs, and the app itself is pretty easy to use.

As for tips:

Go for stereo audio. Mono is only good with one speaker, and most people aren't listening to erotic audio with the top speaker on their phone. If they've got a 2+ speaker system, headphones, or even shitty monitor speakers, stereo sound will be a better user experience.

A good mic doesn't hurt either.

I've got an expensive setup, but you don't need one.

You have GOT to get a better mic. Even something that costs $20 would be better than whatever shit you're using. If you're looking for something cheap, I recommend a Blue Snowball. I personally use a Blue Yeti, a bit more expensive but also better quality. If money is no object, people sometimes get $300-$500 setups for their voice shit.

Secondly, open your mouth when you talk. Quit mumbling and rambling. Enunciate your words better and don't speak so quickly.

Finally, you don't sound like you're "into" your role. It's all or nothing when it comes to voice acting. Put yourself in a mental head space where you truly convince yourself that you are the person you're trying to act like when you speak.

Just increasing the volume after the fact won't work because it's a matter of vocal inflection and vocal intonation, ya gotta raise your voice while you're recording.

As far as I can tell after spending an hour loading and reloading to exhaust all the dialogue options in states of varies dress and underwear conditions, this seems about right. So far it's pretty barebones, I wonder how in-depth the various character routes will get. I assume you'll only be able to do one event and help one character come the end of the week. The point is we're a starved market because it's much easier to just be explicit and faggy or generic and non-sexual. Both have the widest appeal unfortunately so we're left wanting.
