Y'know, I've been reading her stuff for a long time and I've gotten used to her having a very slow burn style of writing stories where things tend to happen very gradually, but holy shit does it not work very well in a one chapter per month format.

This was definitely it's most egregious last month. The previous chapter of Most Magical Place (the one from July) had ended on a pretty strong cliffhanger that implied shit was about to get real, then it took her literally until the last day of August to update the story and the cliffhanger was quickly cut off and ditched and something completely different and definitely not as good wound up happening instead. So it took like six weeks between chapters and it just wound up being a huge misdirect.

Teasing and misdirecting is fine, but not when it takes that long between chapters and every story is doing it. It'd make more sense to just do one story at a time, but I'm sure that'd cut into her bottom line significantly since stories are her most expensive tier.

I dunno why I'm writing this many words for patreon diaper smut. Waiting six weeks for that update really triggered me, I guess.

Whether you have a right to intellectual property is the government's decision. I'm not saying I agree with intellectual property but damages are damages. You've already accepted in your example (the drop in profits) a complete counter-argument to the comic which was central to my point- (potential profits are a real thing)

I read through a couple of the captions and they're admittedly better than the one posted here. Plus the progression captions are pretty impressive, and I give her points for the volume of content she puts out. I haven't recently had that kind of drive and still have 2 stories started but not finished, so there's something to be said for consistency. The captions aren't even the appeal anyway, imo or if they are, they're an extremely small part of it. She uses the same basic tropes over and over and conveys them extremely quickly. because that's what the medium requires and some of them are decent for a quick wank but little else. Her stories actually have some meat to them.

It's just kind of a shame that her writing style doesn't gel very well with her Patreon model. If she had been on Patreon when she was writing the Alisa story, it would've taken three years as opposed to a few months.

I saw that one before and I thought it was okay. It mainly used description to tell a story, which when you're dealing with such short stories, is usually the best way to go. The other one pissed me off because of the dialogue and the sound effect. When you're dealing with ABDL content, it's really easy to fall into a trap of writing terrible dialogue (PPP falls into this too). And description is always going to be better than a "PRRFFFFT" sound effect.

Your writing itself is fine. Main point here: if you're working on something creative and you're trying to get better, don't throw stones at other people who are also just trying to do something creative.

Holy shit dude… so I downloaded the actual MP3 file… and it's clockin at 320 Kbps and 44 Hz, stereo, with a total file size of about 7 freakin megabytes!

But the ~actual~ audio itself is like 48 Kbps, 11 Hz, mono… so you actually recorded the audio in a completely shit way… and then you saved the audio with like the highest settings possible… like, what the fuck did you think it was going to magically make it sound better?

That's like you created an image in Photoshop, saved it as a JPEG with the lowest compression settings possible, to the point of making it look like a 30 year old VHS tape run through a washing machine… and then you re-open the file and save it as a lossless PNG file… brilliant! :D

What audio recorder did you use?

I use adobe audition CC 2018, but i pirated all adobe's shit so it's free for me.

If you don't want to pirate, audacity is amazing. They've got fantastic mp3 codecs, and the app itself is pretty easy to use.

As for tips:

Go for stereo audio. Mono is only good with one speaker, and most people aren't listening to erotic audio with the top speaker on their phone. If they've got a 2+ speaker system, headphones, or even shitty monitor speakers, stereo sound will be a better user experience.

A good mic doesn't hurt either.

I've got an expensive setup, but you don't need one.

You have GOT to get a better mic. Even something that costs $20 would be better than whatever shit you're using. If you're looking for something cheap, I recommend a Blue Snowball. I personally use a Blue Yeti, a bit more expensive but also better quality. If money is no object, people sometimes get $300-$500 setups for their voice shit.

Secondly, open your mouth when you talk. Quit mumbling and rambling. Enunciate your words better and don't speak so quickly.

Finally, you don't sound like you're "into" your role. It's all or nothing when it comes to voice acting. Put yourself in a mental head space where you truly convince yourself that you are the person you're trying to act like when you speak.

Just to add to this, you have to not be afraid to be LOUD! A lot of people get behind a mic and they get all mousy like they're afraid to really belt on out the emotions. Ya gotta put yourself into the mindset of like having a passionate conversation with someone, like you're all excited and your volume increases.

Just increasing the volume after the fact won't work because it's a matter of vocal inflection and vocal intonation, ya gotta raise your voice while you're recording.

So if you can't yell on out some spergy fan fiction shock about being in diapers, to the point where your neighbors and half the town might over hear… yeeeaah, either look into setting up a small scale sound proof closet, or some towns have like YouTube recording booth setups that you can like rent.

Sometimes colleges will also have similar setups, usually in the music departments and they'll let you borrow them in off hours.
