As the board leader stated they weren't actually illegal, I take that to mean that my interpretation was wrong, so I won't be deleting any further images of that nature. At least, not without consulting.

Present some points of why scat pictures should be spoiled. Every person has a different definition of being offended.

The problem with spoiling pictures is that you have to open all of them in new tabs, wait for them to load and then you'll be able to completely see them, usually in a one by one manner.

With thumbnails, you can see lots of pictures in the same time and know, before opening it, if you'll like it or not.

So, do you think it's fair to make the less offended users do all this work just to enjoy some pictures, because some people have trouble using the hide feature?

You know you can hide single pictures or entire posts, right?

The only thing you need is that your browser record cookies and have java-script activated, since both are necessary for this feature to work. If you use your browser "private browsing" every time you visit this board, the picture and posts hidden will be visible again.

I would bet that the majority of people would not want to see scat. Scat doesn't seem to have a large draw in this community in the first place. An alternative would be to just have separate sectioned off for that particular thing.

The problem with spam is that I can only delete it after my day is over, so the spam stay up for some time.

Unfortunately, regarding development, 8chan is abandoned. A simple regexp based filter with automatic ban would solve the problem easily, without the need for range banning.

The least us users can do is keep reporting the spam, so the board owner can delete it in due time.

I have been using just small range bans, since some users use VPN and end up being banned. In the last 48 hours, though, the amount of spam got INSANE, I don't think it's a bot, but actually someone (or some group) resolving captchas to create threads. So I'll return using large ranges for banning. Again, if you get caught in the middle, just appeal to it.
