Isekai wa Smartphone.
It's the greatest isekai ever to be created. Yet so many slept on it because they thought the smartphone was just a stupid "gimmick". How wrong they were. Other trash isekai usually bog themselves down with stupid things like "plot" or "drama". Smartphone doesn't. It understands the true appeal and draw of isekai anime; wish fulfilment. And it goes hard on these elements. The MC is OP as hell, the girls are super cute and the world is ridiculously comfy. The entire "story" of this involves the main character swing his OP dick around and building a harem. There's even an excellent beach episode, and that's after they go to Japan on a zombie killing expedition. It's fun as fuck and is better than every other isekai to be made. Only Konosuba comes close. Watch it, faggots.

Ping Pong has some shooters out there, I think it's a modern classic. I got it on blu-ray at a con but it was a 'double value blu-ray and DVD combo pack' or something. Presumably an attempt at emptying out a warehouse somewhere. In any case it's not popular enough to get a blu-ray-only release.

Has anyone except me actually watched Heybot? I think most people didn't even give a shot since it looks like generic kiddie toy advert anime but it's so much more than that. It has an overarching plot that's actually more subtle and harder to follow than a lot of serious anime, fantastic humor in all varieties from dumb fart jokes to you have to be at least 1 Joshiraku to laugh, a lot of references to cinema that probably fly over the heads of its target audience, and just good ol' fashioned shitposting.

For every one decent isekai, I watch 1-2 mediocre and bad ones, and for every one good isekai there are at least five in the previous levels. But after IseSma and a few other shows that gave me a very bad first impression and later went on to be AOTS, I'm more cautious about dropping certain genres.
Speaking of, Clockwork Planet certainly fits the thread's theme.

There aren't any fansubs for it and the only torrent I could find is a Chinese hard-sub. It seems to be basically unheard of except for one Japanese guy on pixiv who has drawn a lot of art of Yurika.
I'm only on episode three but so far it's not too bad. I'm mainly watching it to practice my listening.

Just rewatched it. After everyone becomes a hostage its pure gold. Conspiracies, codes, traitors. Collaborators are missing (except that one guy, but he was a dick) but at least a half of the characters could have sold everyone to homos.
