We have entered the golden age of 'Gyaru with a Heart of Gold' manga but which mangaka will be brave enough to take this even further beyond to the world of 'Goshikku Gals' aka Goth Gyarus?
Could /a/ even withstand such a power level?

How common are goths in Japan? The only one I can think of in anime, at least clothing wise, is Misa from Death note. It's quite a contrast to how prevalent they are in my country (Norway).

There are quite a lot but not given the "uhhhh muh big tiddy goth gf" fetishism we give them in the west. I saw a documentary once about Shinjuku's tribal culture and it was basically summed up as "in a region with almost zero racial diversity young people form tribes of goths, gyaru, rockerbillies, sukubans, yankees and so on to find a place to belong".
So just how we had "EMO KIDS ARE NOT REAL GOTH!" bullshit tribalism over here over there its more of a brand thing like "that group shops at the gothloli store, what wet blankets, not like us who buy from the cybergoth store!"
Basically imagine the worst part of hi school but in public and voluntarily. No wonder their birth rates are abhorrent.

>Gyaru with a Heart of Gold
If it happens once or twice, it's a nice subversion. But it has become more common than the "original gyaru", and is thus just an other trite character type.
Don't understand the hype.

> If it happens once or twice, it's a nice subversion. But it has become more common than the "original gyaru", and is thus just an other trite character type.
You have seen through a mirror and thus perceive the world backwards. The morally virtuous gal is not a subversion but rather as all things in their ideal form are morally, logically and emotionally satisfying and good she is the platonic ideal of the Gyaru and it is the morally corrupted gal which is a subversion of this metaphysical archetype. Indeed from eternity past, in the heart of God, it was not designed that the gyaru be given over to vice but rather all along it was purposed that she would be virtuous and only the corrupting influences of our fallen world has caused her in practice to deviate from her original and sublime design.
> Don't understand the hype.
Opposites attract and for a thoughtful, quiet, low-confidence, low-energy person their opposite is an expressive, talkative, confident and energized person
Good gals are literally the perfect ideal for introverted weirdo's. If you cannot interface with society the best solution is to have a partner who can be intermediary between you and the rest of the world. The Gyaru is sociable, trendy, charismatic, earnest in her endeavors and generally an affable and well-received person. While she may be simple or surface-level in her thoughts and considerations she is not stupid but rather her chief weapon is her charm and her specialty is her emotional awareness, she has the ability and energy to engage effectively with the complex social networks and relationships that cause the introverted to withdraw from society. She might share no common interest with you but rather than that it's her attitude and the novelty of her own interests and hobbies that attract you. What do you know of make-up and coordinated clothing or cute stationary? It doesn't matter because she is a master of those things and you love that she loves them and how she get excited because of them.
Simply put, we want to protect her smile.

Precure I dont think has ever had a gyaru character. A number of cures are into fashion and accessories that might appeal to gyarus but I don't think there has been a Hibiki (Dumbell) or M/Rika (im@s) level cure. Hibiki might come the closest to it on looks alone. Expanding a bit further to Pretty Rhythm and Aikatsu, does anyone know if there has been a gyaru character there? I'd like to see a JS gyaru

Reductio ad Perfectum. The world as we experience in space and time is the least perfect of states, the world then without either time or without space is more perfect than this - 4d < 3d. Naturally we then surmise that 3d < 2d which is correct but there is one more step we may go and it is into this next realm that Truth makes it's home, 1d > 2d! Indeed through 3d we capture the essence of life as we experience it and through 2d we express life as it would be ideally experienced, it is in the dimension before dimensions, where there is no space nor time but the endless line of being that we glimpse the deeper truth and beauty which we instinctually desire to depict through 2d. To stop at rejecting 3d for 2d asceticism is to take only halff-measures you must go further to the 1d and understand what the goodness you find in 2d really is before you can truly experience the fulfillment of 2d and then once there work back out to the 3d and when then equipped with the Ideal itself, the ideal as it is perfectly depicted and the ideal as it is principally perceived only then can you go beyond and live the ideal in practice.

The three dimensional world is just a model that exists in our minds. That is, it's literally nothing more than a handy way to describe the space around us. E.g. children draw in "true 2d" because their mind is not yet capable of handling a 3d model. But the 3d model itself is just a reduced representation of the possibile directions a bilaterally symmetric animal that possesses motility can take. These directions are:
<forward and backward
<left and right
<up and down
We could take our 3d model and make it 6d simply by splitting every dimension in two along the origo. Even more, for a tree these are the possible directions:
<up and down
<all around
You could say that a tree lives in a 361d world, because a circle has 360 degrees. But that is arbitrary too, because you can split a circle in many different ways.
Also, adding time as an additional dimension is pure insanity.

Dimensions are not directions.
>We could take our 3d model and make it 6d simply by splitting every dimension in two along the origo.
That's still 3d. The new "dimensions" you're introducing are completely degenerate with the old ones and convey no information.
><up and down
><all around
You still need three coordinates, whether you use cylindrical (radius, azimuth, height) or spherical (radius, azimuth, zenith).
In 3d space a position must be expressed in three coordinates, or be reducible to such. Just adding degeneracies doesn't change that. And to specify a position in spacetime, you need a fourth.

Hibiki really does not strike me as a gyaru. Her only gyaru traits are being thick and tan, but her personality and fashion suggest she's just a regular normalfag.

I'd have to agree with you. The one girl who is friends with MC in Citrus is similar to Dumbell Hibiki minus the brown. I wonder if tan/brown is just popular these days.
>>943177
>And to specify a position in spacetime, you need a fourth.
When someone figures out time travel would they need a fifth variable/dimension to identify which spacetime? Or would that be needed if someone figures out how to travel between parallel universes (presumed to be "realizations" of space-time)?
