Some other pieces of official media aren't strictly needed and their status in the canon varies, but it's official media so I should at least mention it. They're missing from the Mega.
- The Visual Novel for PC (still untranslated, there are rumors that it's being worked on by translators)
- The educational VHS episodes (at least one of them seems to be lost media)
- The manga (non canonical reinterpretation of the show)
- The stage shows (did anyone even record them? Anyway, also not canon)
- The novels (canon, but not strictly needed. Not fully translated yet, but they seem to be slowly being worked on. Knowledge of the novels may or may not affect the general appreciation of the upcoming movie, but it's unlikely that they won't make the movie clear for those unfamiliar with them)
- The audio drama (as far as I know, basically the novels read as a script by the original VA)
- The music (which kicks ass. I think one full pack exists, I'll try to find it)

I'm only half way through season 1, so I'm a bit worried about just how depressing the later seasons are going to get. I don't want to have to watch the ojamajos grow up and face the harsh reality of life. They're perfect the way they are.

The first season is actually the least good Doremi season. The rest look a lot better and have higher budget. The first season has the most soul in it and it managed to teach me the greatness of anime for little girls.

I guess I didn't phrase it quite right.
Obviously the setting is utterly implausible and most of their daily activities are exaggerated for comedic effect. If we're being cynical, the whole show only exists to sell overpriced plastic toys.
Despite all of that, the writing of the characters was good enough to make me suspend my disbelief. It's a far more impressive achievement than a generic non-magical SOL show doing the same.

It isn't quite true. Toys help such anime to come into the existence, but they are not the sole reason. Such anime are created by the people who genuinely love anime and want to create good cartoons they enjoy themselves. And this anime was created by the best people from the best studio in the industry. People from the toy companies, like Bandai, actually have a little say in the questions of plot and character design.

I like it when they start to shorten the transformation scenes. Saves time and they're even more of a delight to watch than the individual ones. This is my favourite transformation song too. By the way, the episode I got this one from, episode 15 from Sharp, is one of the tear-jerking ones. It's the Mother's Day episode.

Why is the OP so bad? Especially in season one the music of he OP, intermissions, and transformation scenes sucks ass compared to the normal background music and the ED. Best background music I have heard in a long time.

For a show that named it's characters after solfeggio, it's fucking pathetic.
The henshins were far too long and repetetive, it is clear that they were used to pad the episodes.
