So the entire plot hangs on these guys being edible. But what where the fuck would they find a single gram of edible meat from that thing? It consists of nothing but a vagina mouth, limbs with a bunch of claws and tentacles and scale-like things on the back.
Also, I'm pretty sure that eating an organism that feeds on literal trash isn't a good idea.

Bio-meat is pretty much the shining example of "you know what, I have a premise and nothing fucking else, who cares about the setting". The author also made Region, in which rats are able to form massive swarms and consume every living thing in their path in minutes, and mosquitoes can choke a car into a standstill. The author doesn't give a fuck, she just wants to draw swarms eating people.

also why are they super-predatory when their lifecycle involves being fed literal garbage inside an enclosure where movement is not necesarry? Even if they can eat almost anything, they shouldn't be able to touch something that can move.

I don't think you're ever shown what the final product looks like but considering it's meant to be a dystopian form of meat supply use your imagination. They're probably not producing sirloin steaks for mass consumption, it's more likely they're just made into minced meat.

Literally just divide the military up into infantry squads equipped with chainmail, metal plated riot shields, flamethrowers, and fucking boomboxes. Any organized attempt to hunt these fucks down to the last could clean them up even in the later stages of the apocalypse given a good few years of systematic, dedicated extermination efforts from zone to zone of the island

Never read this manga that you speak of but human beings are literally the species which force feeds ducks gallons of fat just to eat their liver, humanity's will to do something that has absolutely no point is limitless.

And yet lobster is considered a delicacy.

It wasn't for quite a while. It was nearly on the level of rats, e.g. during the 19th century there was a law somewhere in America that regulated how often they can feed prisoners with lobster, because giving them that trash every day was just too cruel. Then people turism became fashionable, and people who never been to the sea before appeared out of nowhere, and the locals started feeding them with lobster to make good money. Then it went out of hand, and now lobster is a delicacy. It's nearly the same story with oysters, just with the added twists that in Europe they nearly died out, and that brought up their price to the level that only the rich could afford them. Before that oyster was only for the poorest of the poor.

The fact that Biomeat got several fairly long arcs and multiple published series out of this basic idea of "SWARMS ARE FUCKING SCARY RUN FOR YOUR LIVES" I'd say this particular niche he's carved out works just fine for him, in spite of the very silly and flimsy logic of it. It's not really all that different from zombies, which wouldn't be that much of a threat, nor would they be able to bite through skulls or anything like that.

And vegetables feed on dirt. And chickens feed on insects that eat shit. If you start reasoning like that, you might as well only eat stuff coming out of factories made from oil. But oil is very old rotted organic matter so even that woudn't be good. So just starve i guess.

A better choice would be single-celled organisms capable of photosynthesis. I have no idea how would that work, but with sci-fi wanking anything is possible.

Actually sharp long points pierce through chainmail. Plate armor is best protection against pointy teeth!

OP's argument, not mine. I was actually pointing out how absurd it was with a real-world analogue.

I've been reading it for the past couple of days, and I'm a bit annoyed that they've stuck with two types of monsters.
Part of the fun with biological, fast reproducing monsters like this is that they usually evolve and become more horrific over time.

I was so naive back then, to have read it up till end, i can't believe i kept hoping it might get interesting at one point, and at no point the character's appearance will completely change in manner that makes no sense, i actually read this garbage by some femoid who could not stick to just writing shoujo.

It was not perfect but had its own charm. What bothers me is how different some of the characters looked after they grew up, and so many chapters could not quite play with the settings as much as they should have been.
I am curious, if this gets an animation, which studio can best portray this, and make the adaptation better than source material, with out killing its good points.

Stop being a bitch. I thought it was pretty entertaining. It's got more of a "western" horror feel to it that most manga. It did a pretty good job at making the monsters a constant threat and having the characters come up with new plans as the story went on.
Also, the mangaka is a man so get your head out of your ass.

That is completely wrong. Chainmail works by catching incoming attacks and locking it down before it can reach you. It's effective because it can tense around the attack point. Plate is to preventing cutting weapons penetrating it. You can still pierce it but under armour will prevent it doing any real damage.
