Would Monkey Punch be proud? Why is it so aggressively Dreamworks?

>Why is it so aggressively Dreamworks?
Because it is easier to make, more consistent, and does not require a team of 100 talented artists to make, and is cheaper.

I actually prefer the "Dreamworks" CGI look over generic CGI that most Nips work with in anime. It's not trying to mimic 2D animation nor 3DPD, so it comes out looking decent enough if not distinct.

When I read a headline that this was a thing I was at first upset, but after watching the trailer I'm looking forward to it. There are a lot of shitty Lupin OVAs and this could just be one for the pile, but the tone of the trailer felt like good Lupin shenanigans instead of boring Lupin shit.

Quads got it. I'm tired of boring Lupin. This looks fun. Even the animation looks fun.

I think it works. Reminds me of the Tintin film.

I'll give you this one. I was thinking of Meet the Robinsons, Robots, How to Train Your Drason, and Megamind of which only two of those are dreamworks. The other two being Disney.

Jigen doesn't look like his usual self, and Goemon is a little bit odd too honestly, but I think this could be interesting. Monkey Punches idea of Lupin almost never matched up with the anime adaptations.

I think it looks good, especially compared to your typical 3D and some actual 3D time to time in Lupin but I wonder if this becomes successful will they stop pursuing 2D animation for the next set of films? Would be a great shame honestly.

There are some episodes of the 60's show that are adapted from the manga, like the one where Lupin gets locked up. Anime and manga are pretty much separate entities as far as I can tell though, with the manga being a lot more overtly sexual. Haven't read all that much Lupin though.

The episode where getting caught was part of his plan?
