I dislike this kind of manga.

In most ecchi series, the censorship is part of the manga. When a series pushes its limits it can do so in novel ways, and can leave the reader waiting to see where it will go next and whether it will be able to top the previous cases. Part of the enjoyment is the tantalization. But for a series like this where it's borderline-porn with gigantic white splotches over everything, the censorship just becomes an annoyance. It's more obtrusive due to being less integrated, and where other kinds give the feeling of "wow, the author went that far", it just gives the feeling of the author not having gone far enough, visually speaking.

I normally disagree with the "just look at porn instead" disparagement for ecchi because that tantalization is distinct from what porn offers, but in a manga like that there really is no reason why it shouldn't be proper porn, since the only difference would be that the girls would be sucking bar-censored dicks instead of dick-shaped lightsabers.

Unfortunately, just like with the dozens of fantasy world Isekai that do the same thing, there really isn't a good reason. I don't know much about the farming techniques applied and how they compare to ones used back then, but I'm pretty sure the significant manpower and malnutrition problem in the village should have put a real limit on the results. The crossbow they're introducing now should be pointless given that crossbows are superseded by the gun in basically every way.

Ultimately I think its a fetish for "Modern Technology(tm)". Another good example of this is in Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami where some Japanese OL takes a thoroughly medieval world and "just modernize it lol". It really is as though they never consider why these ideas never happened, nor the consequences of forcing such foreign concepts to the world.

From a story telling perspective though it is easier to understand. By ignoring those problems you can keep making quick progress between the start of the goal and its achievement. Farmer girl took like 3 chapters to create a miracle in farming rice right? The author doesn't spend any time on the issues of making it happen culturally or anything, so they never have to address the larger consequences of the characters actions later if they don't want to.

This should result in large societal consequences. The increase in efficiency of agricultural techniques historically correlates with expansion of urban centers(because these populations can be fed now) and economic diversification(because these people don't need to be farmers now). None of these ramifications need be explored because the author has decided to ignore anything about them. It's easier for a character focused story, but it is much lazier.

tl;dr The author wants to keep a basically static world so MC can continue to be amazing, nothing MC does actually justifies a static world. Nothing MC does will ever show any real impact on future events.

The only reason why the gun didn't make bows obsolete just after invention - early guns couldn't shoot down, so arbalests and bows were used when there was need to protect a fortification. The attackers had no problems firing up or just destroying the fortification with heavy artillery, though. And fucking heavy siege arbalests has a lot more penetration and stopping power than bow and gun together, but they are slow as fuck and need 2 people to operate effectively.

Another point in the running debate on crossbows is the speed, gunsmithing skill, and material cost for mass-producing them. Musket barrels can take hours or even days to produce through hammering, filing, and smoothing the internals. Japan, being a metal-poor land, also could only spare so much iron that could be used for many spearheads rather than a single gun. A gunsmith needs to be highly practiced to consistently produce barrels without flaws that could easily cause catastrophic failure while firing, kill the user, and disrupt the line mid-battle. Conversely, a crossbow needs little metal, and in a pinch none at all. Once a few pieces of wood are carved out properly, and possibly a few specialty parts ordered from a local blacksmith would really up the production rate. Training the craftsmen would take much less time given that carpentry and woodworking skills tend to be more common. Ammo production is another skill easy to adapt, fletchers

with arrow experience translate over to bolts without much time to learn the techniques.

A previous anon mentioned 100 spears vs. 10 swords was no contest, apply the same principle to crossbows vs. muskets. Ultimately it's not like guns wouldn't be phased out entirely either, but adding in additional units on the battlefield as mass mid-range skirmishers could be a very effective tactic. Common spear units could even be armed with them as something to fire once or twice before readying for contact, or backliners constantly using them as an adaption of a tercio formation (which could obviously be applied to muskets also).

Given how many firearms were used in this period, I highly doubt the resource constraint would be significant enough to encourage fielding crossbows as well. Even supposing one gun used enough metal to make 20 or 30 spear heads doesn't really mean anything because an army may not be able to logistically support replacing 500 guns with another 10000 spearmen. Even if it just used enough metal for 10 spearheads you're still looking at another 5000 men you need to feed, pay, train and otherwise accommodate for. It's not a very convincing argument. A lot of that is theoretic gains that would never be made into actual ones.

Crossbows really wouldn't be. A crossbow with equivalent power to a gun would be physically demanding on drawing it, would interfere with the supply of arrows for archers(as the same people who make arrows would, as you say, make bolts), clog up the production of war material(crossbows have a relatively complex construction requiring more resources than just wood) and then you have to consider that the crossbow does nothing different than the gun. The only differences are in ease of use(gun wins), production cost(gun arguably wins in all honesty), and combat effectiveness(gun wins again). A crossbow might be used for hunting like in the manga, but it doesn't offer anything the gun doesn't from a military perspective.
