I've never read the manga, but I hope the anime adaptation next season is at least decent. It's the first series the studio has done since Houseki no Kuni, which was excellently put together, but that was rocks. They've demonstrated their composition abilities in terms of composition, but I don't know how the CG itself will fare for furred characters; I remember being unimpressed by the one instance of fur in HnK.

Bump.
I just got current with the manga as of a few days ago, and I gotta say, Beastars is pretty damn good. As a connoisseur of anthropomorphic media I'm totally not a furry I swear , I really love how Itagaki takes advantage of what animals can bring to a narrative, whether it's just a joke like in the 2nd pic or really selling the carnivore/herbivore dynamic.
And as someone fairly new to the series, what do you guys think of the upcoming anime? I don't really like CG at all, but I guess if it looks good and retains the charm of the manga I'll probably enjoy it.
Also, why is Louis the best character?
