Beagle doesn't work (yet) to me, because most of the cast are dicks in a way, and the setting is that of a dog eat dog world. Nomoto worked the first time because he was a blank slate, and was relegated as a rookie coach with someone who was already very capable. Doggie is too tender and a crybaby, and insists on protecting Sloth, plus a Beagle isn't a dog breed you'd think for a fighter going against strong beasts; even a poodle would make more of an impact because they can be vicious fuckers, or a Belgian Malinois.

You can buy it with Rabbit because she's comedic relief mostly, but it wouldn't be the same if she was suddenly portrayed as a total badass, or the narrations about how rabbits are the coolest shit and how they could fight against a puma if cornered.

That begs the question, which actual animal has the sharpest fangs and thus should logically single-handedly tear through this manga?

Also hope that there is a second tent, where Nomoto and Hitomi are having constant sex in the missionary position, while her wounds heal. Something about orgasms healing honey badger wounds faster.

Thankfully Tatsuku is dead, not because I wish for her to be dead, but you need to draw a clear line, on what is a fatal wound and what isn't plus it would have cheapened the drama.

I guess this is her character development, hopefully she will act less as a chunny, and more as a competent fighter, that listens to orders.

Depends on your definition. The most notable thing about Killing Bites is that the Honey Badger in no way shape or for has the sharpest fangs in the animal kingdom. Thers are relatively blunt, increasing the crushing power; more important for when they need to break into hives or crush snake skulls. The thing is regardless of this, they'd likely think this was the case (as well as them being the strongest, fastest, toughest animals in the world) to the extreme that they'd be genuinely fully convinced of themselves having the sharpest fangs and tout it as fact. Because Honey Badger don't give a shit.

Now who has the sharpest fangs? Depends on what we're in for. Since 'sharpest fangs' could mean a lot of things, I'll just go over the lot (because I'm screencapping my own autism for future reference, so may as well do it right):

-Mammals? Gelada Baboons are the real contenders for the sharpest fangs. Then it's just a case of your usual Tiger/Lion faceoff. Interestingly speaking, the Gorilla had a stronger bite than the both (but we know how he ended up). Also, keep a look out for the Jaguar Brute when they show up; sharper teeth and stronger bite than both the Lion/Tiger (though smaller in weight and size they'd usually lose, when talking Killing Bites, that mobility combined with direct bite strength and fangs sharpness is going to be something to really look out for getting harped on). Notable mentions going to Camels for the way Killing Bites handles it's animals; fuckers having mean bites and odd incisors to say the least; as well as the Musk Deer for such excessive 'fangs'.

-Reptiles? The strongest bite goes to the Snapping Turtles without doubt; with the Nile and the Saltwater Crocs getting a notable mention too. Fangswise, a lot of snakes are in dispute for the top spot (so the top isn't as clearly defined), but King Cobras or Gaboon Vipers are the ones commonly brought up (though I'd imagine most species of Pit Vipers wouldn't be too far off either)

-Birds? Again, depends what you're buying. The strongest bite probably goes to the Philippene Eagle whereas the sharpest fangs go to the Goosander (imagine Geese, less aggro but more damage). Sharpest talons-wise could really go to any raptor (bird, not dinosaur). Notable general mentions for the Harpy Eagle (relative of the Philippene Eagle), the Cassowary (Geese on steroids plus one of the strongest kicks in the animal kingdom paired with some of the sharpest talons on a bird) and the Shoebill (snappy) - all more interesting picks for a bird than >A >FUCKING >CROW oh, and to OP; he won't becoming a Dinosaur any time soon. Chickens are notable in the fact their family (Wildfowl) are distinctly unevolved and in turn are very close to the prehistoric missing links such as Archeaopteryx. Crows aren't. Crows' ultimate superpower is that they're smart. More of a joke when you realise they're less smart than humans anyways. When you see a Chicken or a Peacock Brute, that's likely going to be the Dinosaur, and it's likely to be hyped up as a Raptor since they're the 'closest' to the Archeaoptryx while retaining the cool-factor So bascially look out for DIO 3.0. Also - Peregrine Falcons. I'd expect to see something at the very least for one of these fuckers, considering they can get relatvely close to the sound barrier and Cheetah is a secondary lead.

-Of any 'animal' in the world right now? Lampreys, no question. The fuckers have been on local records to bore themselves through boat hulls, they're fucking demons and will kill anything that falls into a river filled with them in a few minutes as they literally bore into the fucking thing and drain it (basically megaleeches). If you want to add fish to the mix in general terms, Piranhas have the strongest bite and notably razor sharp teeth. Anglerfish maws (female) are infamous too. Great Whites also get a notable mention of being the strongest jaws in the world (as in open/shut, as oppose to the Nile Croc's exclusive shut), but their teeth (though sharp) are very frail and almost designed to snap off. The 'Killing Bite' of the oceans however belongs to the Orca, with a strength of at minumum double that of crocs but it's more to di with their jaw muscles than their otherwise small-ish, blunt-ish teeth and yes, I know they're mammals, and no I don't care, I'm putting them with the fish for brevity sake

Prehistoric? How far is Killing Bites going to go back?

-Quaternary? Megatherium was a relatively recent animal; in which case the largest 'fangs' are obviously Sabertooths (Similodon) , though the proto-elephants (Platybelodon pictured) might also get a mention for their absurd teeth. You've also got Terror Birds, which were basically the Honey Badgers of their time (aggro, territory, huge I-don't-give-a-fuck-balls etc) - except they were the size of ostriches, ran like cheetahs and bit you like a snapping turtle (unique, since they relyed on the 1-hit kill strategy, whereas most other harasser type animals through history rely on the sharp-teeth to latch on and drag to their level). I am almost certain we will be seeing a Terror Bird, at least as a final boss of an arc akin to Pangolin and Megatherium. As well, you've got the Moa (the cassowary/emu's big brother, as in the size of an elephant) and Haast' Eagle - an eagle 10x the size of most (not exagurating) that hunted Moas. On top, you've then got the Chainsaw Shark (not much elaboration needed once you've got the name and pic) and the Sabretooth Salmon/Payara.

-Dinosaurs? This is where things get complicated due to fossil inaccuracy. The most reliable guess would be Allosaurs, since they're very well recorded, though Mapusaurs were similar therapods who's method of feeding was theorised to literally tear flesh off of sauropods and run off with the sauropods still alive. Composognathus and the Microraptor species were the species that were contenders for the 'sharpest teeth', but were the size of rats and had no stopping/biting power, instead using it to scaenge corpses to the bone and chew on insect exoskeletons. A notable pick would be the Spinosaurus; one of the largest carnivores of all time, larger in direct height than the TRex; but suffered the issue of the Great White of having brittle teeth and feeding on fish, thus were much weaker for their size. Still, a huge fucking bite, and sharp as fuck teeth. Other solid mentions go the the Carcharadontosaurus, Giganotosaurus (both having sharper fangs, larger skulls and quicker bites) and Hollywoods darling; the Tyrannosaurus (having a more compacts skull, powerful bites but only ever really biting once)

-Literally everything ever? Now we really start getting to some sketchy shit; since you're reachng periods where fangs don't really 'exist', and the members of the close-dinosaurs (Permian, Carboniferous etc) really couldn't contest with the examples listed above. In short, life literally didn't reach the point of evolving particularly sharp fangs or killing bites to this point.

This is also where you bump into Dunkleosteus (explained below) and the Conodonts that >>936996 state - which are awkward to say the least. First of all, we have no idea what its teeth were used for, and one of the prevailing theories is that they were actually filters, closer to how whales use their teeth to grille through the water and eat the microrganisms. Another issue is that this was at a stage of life that was so early on, boundaries between what is an 'animal' and what isn't is blurry to say the least (note the Cambrian was the stage so far back in history that there wasn't even plants on the land. Dirt didn't exist. Try getting your head around that concept. If the Megatherium went extinct roughly 10,000 years ago, the Cretaceous ended/dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago and the Cambrian ended about 500 million years ago). Some would argue they were in such a proto-state, that they were just as much tapeworms as they were eels as they were sharks as they were earthworms as they were snakes. It's the equivalent of calling a Trilobite a crab; we only say that because they aesthetically look like modern examples (it looking like the horseshoe crab) when in reality they're just as much crabs as they are centipedes. So did it have the sharpest fangs? Maybe. But we don't if they were the granddaddy of all fangs, if they were the prototype for what fangs would become or even if they were supposed to be fangs in the first place.

Dukleosteous interestingly doesn't qualify for any of them. They didn't have fangs, as much as they had proto-teeth deriving from the fact they were literal armoured fish. Their skulls were their teeth, it's arguably more accurate to describe them as mouth-horns or beaks.

Someone in the comment section of mangakakalot asked whether the author would run out of animals or story first. I think he is fine, he has plenty of other mammals to pick from, reptiles as well(crocodile turtle might be interesting), I am sure there will be dinosaurs as well, other birds for some aerial battles, and there are hundreds of weird insects to pick from, something like the Brute ant can pick up things ten time it's weight.

The way it takes the familiar form of the elephant and its trunk, and turns it into something entirely alien makes it seem almost designed to be unsettling. We all know what a trunk does and how it moves, and then that thing splits it open as if it'd been mutilated, with the teeth that "shouldn't" be there being the cherry on top.
