Finally finished Max Heart. This took forever and I discovered Honoka and Nagisa overload. Hikari looked great from every angle. The dark king story took forever with pretty much zero payoff in the end. The most fun were the episodes up until the finale. The main four evil guys were the whole show in some episodes.

Next is kettei (Yes) precure. I'm expecting a heaping dose of pink autism and a story to really sell those gifs anons posted earlier.

There was so much plot this episode and it was awesome. Star Trek at full strength with exploring an unknown planet, comparing whats there to historical data, and stumbling across treasure. Eyewon shows up and we find out she accidentally wiped out the planet and looted it. As expected the cat butler is blue cat. I didn't expect blue cat to steal all the pens though. Next week cure cosmos arrives and the bad guys may power up again to balance. きらやば！

She makes Nagisa seem like a genius sometimes and I'm only two episodes into it. The critters being much more relevant and talkative is a good thing. The very short and simple transformation sequences so far I really like. It has the "level 1" feel to it and implies a more elaborate transformation is coming with later powerups.

I've had my eye on this series since smile was airing, but it wasn't until last month that i actually started watching it busy with yuki yuna and other mahou shoujo series, i've been watching star twinkle and happiness charge and i just finished the latter, i'm liking precure a lot more than any other mahou shoujo anime i've seen so far, probably because it isn't yet another depressing, gory edgefest that tries to rip-off madoka but fails. Madoka isn't even good to begin with.

These are my thoughts about happiness charge. Megumi is a monster, her special attacks are stronger punches, a heart shaped bomb, explosive eye lasers, a fucking energy sword, a planet sized fist and a beam shower, this girl is like a flesh gundam or something, she even used two mooks as boxing gloves to punch out a bigger mook once, i hope Hikaru ends up being a little like her. Hime is cute but god damn is her voice annoying. Yuuko and Iona had little to no screen time, so i didn't like them as much as the other two, Honey is the most attractive out of them though, and Iona seems like she'd make a good wife. Did she really have to smack the tambourine against her ass for every single special attack and transformation? What a shameless girl.

The generals were great, none of them were legitimately evil, just misunderstood. I'm glad they were redeemed instead of killed.

Was blue supposed to be portrayed as an asshole? He recruits little girls and uses them as soldiers, and the one time he got romantically involved with one of them he broke her heart and locked her in a box. He also didn't bother to help his brother protect his planet, or help him rebuild it until Lovely beat him. Every single bad thing that happens can be traced back to him, yet no one calls him out on it.

I give happiness charge a 8/10, the only things i didn't like were the pointless love triangle Megumi loves blue because ??? And Seiji is brave enough to fight mooks, but not to confess to Megumi?, the white dresses massive downgrade from their black vests, miniskirts, thigh high boots and angel wings and the clown makeup, they also kind of wasted the international cures, i was expecting some of them to raid red's planet, at least they all lent their power to Lovely. Now i'll start with either go princess or smile, probably go princess since cure flora was featured in happiness charge's last episode.

HaCha was great and indeed weak in all the areas you mentioned. Hime was a good girl with a good voice. i don't think Hikaru will grow into a demon like Lovely. I just hope Hikaru's anger is brought up again but I doubt it. Blue was a jerk. If the story turned into a thing where Lovely and Blue's former love find out hes really the bad guy and kick his butt it would have been majestic.

There are some things to complain about, but that's true for everything. Even someone like me who loved the series had several issues with it. It was the most experimental Precure, but I think it shined through.

I was one of the strongest advocates for it due in no small part to my love of the director, Junichi Sato. He's a master of Iyashikei who makes you feel all your emotions and I believed in him the whole way through. If you've seen Princess Tutu or Sailor Moon, you know how he builds you up to tear you down to heal your heart. Some may not like his style for Precure, and that's understandable, but he's a great director.

First 15 episodes of hugtto down, it's not that bad, but i can see some flaws already. Hana isn't your standard precure protagonist, she tends to berate herself for not being as good as her classmates, but it's not like she's terrible at everything, she's just average, in fact she does have her good points, like being the prettiest one out of her group considering she has two suitors glasses-kun and the old man with the book while the others don't. The music is terrible, so much that i skipped every single transformation and the team attack after watching it once actually i wouldn't say it's terrible, but it just doesn't fit a series where the protagonists beat the fuck out of their enemies with their fists, the transformation theme and first ED are definitely lame though. Ruru's apparently gonna be a cure, but i think she looked better as a villain. I don't like Homare nor her androgynous french boyfriend, it may be just their appearances though, if Homare looked like Henri i'd like her more. Hana shouldn't have traded that sword for a shitty wand, it's not like you become evil for using an actual weapon, just ask Megumi, who beat her enemies to a pulp before she shot them a love bomb/hugged them. Just about the only thing i truly like about hugtto is this adorably autistic little girl, who i think is also going to be a cure she had an episode after all.

Another 10 episodes down, it's alright so far. Ruru getting killed, repaired and then redeemed felt rushed, and her dual transformation with Emiru is a bit inappropriate She's like 9 years old isn't she?, i was fully expecting them to tongue kiss at the end. Emiru and her brother are both homos and their parents are insane, so i think their lineage is doomed to end there, at least Emiru has great fashion sense. I finally understand why Hana acts like that, she got bullied in her previous school and it got so bad she had to transfer, and now she's fronting as a simple, cheerful girl even though she clearly needs help, but won't get it because she's japanese and they tend to ignore mental issues, then a couple episodes later her first crush, a 30-something year old man reveals himself as the villain, breaks her heart and tries to steal the cute baby, poor girl just can't catch a break. There was a cameo of Nagisa and Honoka, the protagonists of the very first season, but being a newcomer to precure i feel like i wasn't able to properly appreciate it, Honoka seems like a lovely girl though. That second ED is fantastic; catchy song, nice choreography, cute visuals and good animation. I feel bad for glasses-kun, at least he got to taste Hana's fluids.

Imagine being Harry, falling in love with the girl who rescued you, then being forced to change her diapers, feed and bathe her after she got her ass kicked so hard she de-aged back into a baby. I wonder just how many times he took advantage of her.

Futari wa has the best couple in the entire franchise.

We got to see the puffy shorts Soleil wears. The transformation was thigh and armpit lewd with some idol-like styling mixed in. As expected Cosmo is stronger than everyone else. The preview makes it look like next week we are getting a well animated battle.

Started watching DokiDoki. The first episode was extremely disappointing, Mana has no character and just bluntly doing what is right to do, or what is she told to do. She is a zombie with social rules in place of brain and is annoying beyond measure. The yellow girl looks good, though. I like autistic denpa girls, who are out of touch with reality.

Action scene were good. Watching girls bing hit, constrained and pained is always pleasant, I hope Precure would be beaten enough this season.

That battle was kirayaba and shows a lot of promise for what happens later. Cosmo/Mao/Yuni is going to sell a lot of merchandise especially when the SoL parts arrive next week. I pray Japan doesn't lose its mind between loving Selene, Milky, and now Cosmo-nya. I wonder if Eyewon will change sides down the road or hold a grudge against Cosmo. Finally we see the bad guy (darth vader?) take physical form and hes pretty cool looking. The blue muscular guy still looks like a star wars character (the one with all red skin but its blue here) or something.

Next week Hikaru's dad returns? Either its a heart pulling episode or space autism through the roof. The new ED feels like a retro design. It didnt feel lewd and there were quite a few reused animations too. I'll wait and see before deciding on it.

Sorry to interrupt, but has anyone heard of this franchise? Apparently it's supposed to be a chinese Precure ripoff and I figured this would be the only place/thread on the site with even the slightest potential of knowing details. I wanted to know more about it, particularly sub info and which are sequels (if any) to each other but considering the language barrier and sheer obscurity googling is failing me and thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

Hikaru's dad is confirmed to be a Kyuranger, OushiBlack to be exact. Now she joins the toku dad club alongside Saki, Mai, Urara, Erika, Hibiki, Miyuki, Madoka (Aguri), Akane, Ichika and Ruru.

Hikaru's dad stole the show this week. This guy is the dad viewer self-insert. If you cannot be Hana's giant ripped dad you should aim to be a professor with kirayaba autism. We learned the importance of kirayaba to the family and why grandpa was mad this whole time. Its not like Hikaru's dad left mom and Hikaru alone in an inner city apartment, grandma and grandpa were there too. Apparently they have lived in this town for a long time too since grandpa and Ryou know each other (Ryou is older and they seem like childhood friends) and Ryou referred to Hikaru's dad in a familiar way that sounded like Hikaru's dad grew up there. The 5-in-1 transformation was pretty kirayaba.

Yuni is awkward as hell and isnt used to be around friendly people. Its good to see the others make an effort to get close to her. Its was great that Hikaru didn't do it but Elena so Elena has more character than just shooting fireballs. I feel bad for Kappard though having to fight with a cotton swab. It will still be some time before Yuni fully gets friended but its a good start.

Next week Star Trek continues with the snowman planet during summer vacation. This could have been a beach episode but I'll take it.

Thank goodness the confession happened. A bit of a sad ending for everyone. The budget went up and down during the finale which was a little disappointing since some earlier episodes were really cut back. Did Bunbee die in such a comedic way? I was expecting him to appear again, maybe he does in 555. At this point 555 feels like its going to be a bigger rip off than MH. At least this is the last time the studio attempted a double season. I don't mind another 50 episodes of Nozomi and Urara though.

I took a break after ep 14. I can't believe I've been missing out on this cute tomboy.

I just got far enough along for Scorp to die and blue rose I bet shes milk to appear at school. This does nothing to improve my opinion of the shit disturber even if shes lewd. Syrup is better than the shitter (for now). The effort is showing with more detailed animation consistently but by nature it lacks the character building of the first half. One of my favorite parts is that the writer references previous conflicts like the flowers and juice war between Rin and Karen, and ketchup on eggs with Urara. The fact that these are done with just one line instead of drawing a whole flashback makes the story feel more immersive in its SoL scenes.
