This is an incredibly stupid anime in itself, and I haven't yet finished it but I'm still tormented by one significant question. Mainly, if the POG is an organization that wants to solve the "Puzzle of God", and it does that by creating deadly puzzles that either give out significant prizes or kill people... then how the fuck does it even make a profit? I know this isn't a company and rather something of a weird puzzle obsessed secret society, but even then, the puzzles they make must require enormous funds, even if they are throwing most of the work on their individual members. And yet they have fucking helicopters, a school with the goal of creating the ultimate solvers, a gigantic base with enormous puzzles made just to fuck with the main character. Who the fuck is funding them? Is it the government? Is the government funding deadly puzzles that kill their civilians? Is it just an exclusive club where you have to pay membership fees to keep your Giver license? Do they sell something? Are there official POG products you can buy in this universe? How the fuck does this shit work?
