The Zero was made obsolete the moment burgers started fielding the F6F, that plane had heretically poor visibility but as long as one kept it going fast it was nearly impossible to get shot down by a Zero.
Zeroes couldn't even go beyond 500km/h without risking their Wings falling off, by European standards the thing was already obsolete in Summer of 1942the lack oft an armored windshield+headrest which by that point had become standard even among nearly all European and American fighter aircraft didn't help either.
A shame the Nips never did anything with the single Fw 190 they somehow managed to import.
