How has anime been improving your life, /a/? Picked up any hobbies or done anything you normally wouldn't do because of anime? I know for me, I used to only cook very western dishes, but anime has expanded my repertoire of what I'm willing to cook without a recipe in my day-to-day life. I know Hataraku Saibou has gotten me to pick back up my running cardio to go along with my swimming and hiking cardio since I want to make sure those red blood cells don't have clogged highways.

None of the stories I read before have ever affected me like that but for the first time in my life I kinda know what NTR feels like. It's like a burning sensation in your gut that feels like the opposite of love, negative love energy basically. I hate it.

I've decided that I won't cosume alcohol or fap until my drawfaggotry get's at least somewhat better. Then maybe I can draw a character just like that the way I want.

>care to post a recipe?

Sure, it's pretty simple anyway.

>Get some pork, any cut is fine, but ideally you want a uniform cut (second pic rather than something like the third)

>Cut it into somewhat thin slices since you'll just deepfry it

>Cut the fat off

>Season it with whatever (I just use salt and green garlic)

>Coat it with wheat flour, the meat has some juices which help the flour stick. I do this to protect the seasoning from the egg mixture you'll have to use

>Mix eggs and any kind of oil. It's fine to use the same oil you'll fry with.

>Dip the pork into the egg mixture then coat it in panko.

>Deep fry it. Fill it with enough oil to cover the slices a bit over halfway then fry each side until it's golden.

>Enjoy the food while enjoying your favorite japanimation.

Yesterday I made egg-noodles from scratch. It's really easy. Just crack some eggs and add flour until you get some super sticky dough. Mix it well. I eyeballed it, but its better to add too much flour than too much egg. A general rule of thumb: at least 100g flour per egg.

Then put a lot of extra flour on a cutting board, place a bit of dough on it, cover it with more flour and use a sharp knife to cut the dough into stripes. The extra flour should prevent it from sticking too much.

Then just throw everything in a pot of boiling water and cook it until it is well done. You can add spinach or squid ink to the dough to change it's colour and taste.

Anime has inspired me to be a chad, and now I'm working out and using topicals for my acne and even attempting to talk to girls. After watching anime for about four years, I became a weeb, and only fapped to 2D. But then I realized I needed a break, so I started to fap to 3D, and I was flabbergasted when I found out that I was far more attracted to asians than anyone else after all this anime exposure. On my trip to Japan, I was planning on just doing antisocial stuff, but then I got bored towards the end and was dead set on fucking a Japanese girl. I failed miserably and realized that I needed to improve myself. Now I'm focused on becoming a normalfag and I don't even watch anime anymore, I just watch Japanese news for practice.

To summarize, anime made me cool. Or at least I plan on being cool pretty soon here. If it weren't for anime, I'd still be happy with being a nerd.

There are also a lot of variations out there since it's not uniformly a Japanese recipe to fry meat in oil.

Pic related is how it looks in my country.

The biggest difference is relatively thinner slices that also hit it with a meat tenderizer hammer and also include some bread crumbs to get a stronger crust. That way you get flatter pieces that fry better and the spices integrate better.

Don't feel bad, the amount of ketchup or the use of it at all is entirely optional and easily replaceable with other things.

When I make a dish similar to omurice, I either use my actual home made tomato paste or paprika powder. Literally the only reason they even have ketchup in that recipe is because that's the most common thing that you can find in the kitchen any alternative will suffice.

Not all of them used to fuck a shinto priest. I'm not sure how old the practice was and when it stopped.

By the time of the shogunate a thousand years ago, the miko was forced into medicancy, and traveling miko or aruki miko were synonymous with prostitution. As far as I know, it wasn't until the Edo period when they started making a come back.

I've seen miko written with a capital "m" and with a lower-case. Does it matter?

I can't be the only one that thinks Buddhism is "more civilized" than Shinto, right? Shintoism is fairly "primitive" in its beliefs and practices, in the same vein as the many European, African, American, et cetera pagan religions.

Certainly. It's still far more interesting than Buddhism in my opinion, and better for the Japanese in general. Blood and Soil Paganism is also better for Europeans.

It's Neo-Confucianism that finally tightened up the sexual mores of the Japanese.

>It's still far more interesting than Buddhism in my opinion

I somewhat agree, but I still find it abhorrent, for multiple reasons, including ecstasy.

>muh blood and soil paganism

My problem with this is that your religious beliefs are then dictated by materialism, and not a universal truth or because you grew up believing it (i.e. "things are the way they are"; it's hard to explain, but there's a sort of innocence to that). It may not be as materialistic as Capitalism or Marxism, but it ultimately is, because both blood and soil are physical materials, so to speak.

Heh, I remember that image. Thanks for reminding me about it.

Not to get too off-topic and neither to blog-post, but I'm curious as to the average /a/ttitude to pre-Qing China not to mention Korea, and the Mongol and Manchurian peoples, as well as the early history (Yayoi-Kofun) of Japan, which I find absolutely fascinating as a result of the lack of information. I'm also curious as to whether or not /a/nons became interested in East Asian culture and history as a result of anime and manga, instead of simply finding it interesting as with any culture and history, Western or Eastern, as was the case with me when I was very young I always loved history; I hated a lot of "Medieval" products targeted towards kids (with the exception of stuff like LotR and other explicity-high fantasy stories and franchises, because they didn't try to call themselves "Medieval"), because they were always high fantasy related, when I wanted historical realism growing up.
