Its going to be a long season of dealing with you two. Assuming they stop at the end of ww3, this part of the old testament really brings together almost everything after and including the sisters arc. I have a feeling most of it will be rushed or worst case flashbacks/recaps of the first two seasons. It feels like too much content to adapt into a 2 cour anime and do it justice. WW3 alone could fill 13 to 16 episodes at about 1 chapter per episode.

Kamachi would write an explanation that amounts to that. Given all the powers he has written about its the most boring since its just "esper moved X and caused Y". That is probably why Kamachi does not have a psychokinesis meaningful character. Its like the teleporters but without the risk ending up stuck inside an object. Arguably Imagine Breaker is just as boring but Kamachi keeps it in a black box that even the most powerful and knowledgeable characters refer to as "that thing inside your right hand" or "the true nature of Imagine Breaker".
Come to think of it, there are many esper powers that Kamachi hasn't touched much. Pyrokinesis has one or two background characters. I don't think anyone directly manipulates water. Gunha is still a mystery beyond black box "guts". I wonder if magic is easier to write about since its easier to make up crap and get away with it.

I don't want to believe it but the more I think about it, the more likely that Index 3 will be shafted with 2 cour to cover 9 LNs. It has been some 6 or 7 years since season 2 ended so its not like JC was waiting on BD sales. The final volume in the old testament was published in 2010 so JC was not waiting on content to adapt either. Index 3 will likely be a money grab adaptation that cuts most of the story to sell the headline events.

Its a movie out of some short story Kamachi made up to fit randomly in the Index timeline. Maybe the movie idea came first and he gave them the story later. Regardless, its a waste. The movie could have adapted meaningful content instead of a standalone with a vague and unimportant tie to the Index story.
