Medfag here. Every cell has a purpose and the show does a good job showing what they do, minus some small details.
Killer T cells can only kill virally infected cells, by patting the cell on the back and telling it to kill itself.
Macrophages are the bosses of the initial immune response because they decide what the next step is. If the neutrophils are doing well (bacteria), they secrete chemicals that bring in more neutrophils.
If the neutrophils are not cutting it (viruses or TB), they call in specific types of helper T cells and different things happen from there.
I hope a granuloma shows up. That's when your body gives up on trying to fight the thing and just dog piles it with Macrophages and Helper T cells, eventually locking it away forever by covering the whole thing with calcium.

The show has definitely gotten stale. It's already gotten into a rut; cell of the week is introduced, germ of the week is introduced, it ends with cell of the week taking care of germ of the week. It could work if the characters were better, but they're (purposefully) one-dimensional. The villains are particularly bad, as they're incredibly boring. They just show up, act arrogant and then get killed. Maybe they're supposed to be "parodies" of generic, boring as fuck bad guys, but that doesn't make them good themselves. Every time they sit there and gloat for an eternity until something shows up to deal with them.
In addition, it just isn't that well written in general. Pinky was useless against any germs until she suddenly becomes hyper competent at the end of the episode. There's no reason for it. The least they could have done is write her so that she had an actual reason to be bad at dealing with the smaller fries, yet good at taking down the big guy. It was a missed opportunity to make good use of the setting. The overall writing is weak, especially the humor which it seems to be going for a lot. "It's supposed to parody serious works" only gets you so far. The novelty is wearing off and there's not much underneath to let it stand on its own.
It's not a complete shitshow, it's just become mediocre at best. My opinion has not been influenced by normalfags as I avoid anything they have to say about it.

One of these is candida, which is normal flora in your mouth and skin. If you are immunocompromised, candida will grow continuously and form curd cheese growths all over your mouth, throat, and, if applicable, vagina. I don't know of any bacteria that actively fight pathogenic bacteria inside the human body. The only way I know bacteria help you is by breaking down things you can't digest in the gut and by taking space on your skin /gut.
For example, babies don't have gut flora. If you read on a honey jar, it says don't feed honey to a child less than 2 years of age. The reason is that clostridium botulinum spores in honey can colonize the baby's gut and produce botulinum toxin to kill them. The reasom this doesn't happen to adults is because c. Botulinum is a bitch and can't survive competition.
