>Posting an image relevant to the discussion is what the image function is supposed to be for. Posting reaction images isn't
I agree that it can be annoying when no one takes a legitimate argument seriously. However, in a way, those reaction images are relevant to the discussion. Someone could reply with a "hahaha" and it would have the same effect.
>It's almost impossible for anything to be niche any more.
Not entirely true. Yes, it's hard to find things that haven't been tainted. But for things that require effort to set up or aren't pretty, like retro games >>843655, you'll find plenty of actual fanatics.
>Thanks to places like Reddit, Facebook and image boards there is constant exposure to what would have other wise been hidden communities.
>image boards
Sure, nowadays. Nothing wrong with that if the newcomers come steady, or are genuinely interested. Nowadays, for example, that '80s retro style, things are spread generally from /pol/ and killed off. Killed off due to constant repetition, and even more so now with retarded faggotry like r/memeeconomy take a fucking look, very little enrages me more than to see such faggotry in real time. While keeping with the subject of reaction images, see this video https://hooktube.com/watch?v=3irImiGbyxY? This faggot thinks smug anime girls was a recent phenomenon, and "ironically" deletes everything when it stops being popular. If this faggot, with that amount of views and an overwhelming like-to-dislike ratio, thinks like this....
Anyway, it isn't that big a problem if you can cut yourself off, which this board and others are generally pretty good at.

>that misspelling of "you"
Is the bot under maintenance? And the last time I was on /cow/, a long time ago, they thought a lolcow's "racism" was a legitimate reason to make fun of them. Unless things have changed, that place is reddit-tier.

When I discovered magic and (some, anyway) mythical creatures to be real, I began to feel sort of the same way with the real world. I abhor magical practices, but have always been fascinated with the concept and occasionally I find myself tempted.
It's everything from character design, to escapism from a material world.
>Here, in my dark room, I'm an Aspie who barely talks to even my parents. But then I watch shows like Inuyasha, and I play games like Sonic, and I see all these great characters, who are aesthetically-pleasing, who live in this magical or advanced world, with enough detail to seem real, and have all sorts of adventures and experiences. Who wouldn't want to live there?
Normalfags, even if unhappy deep-down, are able to distract themselves long enough so that such fantasies aren't all that interesting as real life, whether because they never pay close attention to things, or because they have real duties to attend to, or have things in this world they enjoy (sex, drugs, et cetera). Or perhaps they genuinely enjoy life for the few that do, or the many who are numb to pain, whether due to a lack of introspection or repeated sin, generally both.
Well, hopefully I didn't screw something else up. Anyway, good morning night /a/.
