Depends how much prep time the convicts have. The convicts surprisingly have superior physical feats (just look at what Speck can do), but they don't have much resistance to their absorption abilities.

Animation is fine for the most part except for REALLY jarring split second CGI that pops up sometimes.

I think the beauty of Baki is that it's the perfect mix of surrealism and realism. There's some genuine realism involved in the fight scenes and seems very down to Earth, yet it's all hyper exaggerated at the same time.

Tanba's fight against the three wrestlers were he tear the cheek of one by fish-hooking is my favourite mango fight of all time. I like how Keisuke went deeper in the real fight concept in Garouden and later in Baki: one vs many or bare hands vs weapons.

Baki is so fascinating because there are times when you can really feel Itagaki getting carried away. Like he's lost in the throes of pure artistic passion, hands flinging across the paper, constructing these impossible absurdist poses and expressions.
