Probably not, but we little girls do.
No.840660
First episode provided everything expected from a C-budge anime about C-rank idols. Idol Jihen was similar in budget but about more popular idols. The character designs and interactions as always will be crucial to success and they put in a shitposting idol and Renge clone. Not sure why theres this many though.

It's so-so, slightly below expectations. At least they didn't use 3D for the dance segments.

Given how the animation looked you have to wonder how it would have looked in 3D on their tiny budget.

The OP has 3D dancing in it, it looks unsurprisingly mediocre. Not that 3D dance segments ever look good.

I thought I wasn't gonna get surprised after Revue Starlight, but here we are. This actually looks pretty decent now. Except for the inevitable budget/time allocation issues.

After showing her dancing talent/autism and making seemingly a rival out of nowhere, I thought she was headed for center idol as the group rocketed to the top of popularity. Having her as a receptionist will do nothing for her lack of singing skills so she will probably never perform short of backup dancer. It does provide the opportunity to genuinely make friends with everyone unlike some other idol shows with the ultra talented ultra friendly center. This one casting difference is going to be interesting to watch. Glasses is still condensed phase meme.

It's a Ren-chon episode! I'm enjoying it, shame that most people probably dropped it on, or even before ep1 because of QUALITY and how it didn't quite get across what it was supposed to be like.

I fucking hate DEEN, but it's still a damn shame, her design is easily my favorite. They can't just do favoritism every time, not with a title like this.
Anyways, gonna give it another episode.
No.846979
I like how Manager-san is who gets the worst of the QUALITY, like the artists can just barely be arsed to do a just barely passable job on the girls, but for him, it ain't happening.

Shupe without makeup looks more 3D than 2D. Some dangerous implications are present unless you just think of her are ugly compared to the others.

There might only be three of us left here watching it. We are probably the same ones that watched idol jihen too.

Give the layers alpha channels and put smooth gradients from black to white in the alpha channels, then there will be no discontinuities.
No.851091
>>850996
How does that solve the fact that each character was animated? They moved independently of each other and the frames, hence I had to make a "best of" stitch using like 6 different caps and some redrawing, and meme girl was still left a bit fucked. Though in retrospect that wouldn't have been difficult to fix, didn't occur to me to cut the lower body and move it.
No.851102
>>851091
Sorry anon, I fired off that comment not appreciating the difficulty of the actual stitching in your case. I've seen some lazy stitches lately that could be fixed with the alpha blending thing and assumed that the girls on the staircase were another instance of that.

Also that last scene very much looked like it was traced over someone else's, probably Kyoani's animation, even had lipsync issues. That or it was outsourced.

They made her too good. Also this guy has seven kids. From the looks of it the idol girl was first then the son, then triplets then twins. If all the girls become idols that guy is going to be so proud. The family could be its own unit.
>>852632
>Slideshows
Given that the studio probably has no budget, I'd take nice looking slideshows over terrible animation. It shows more love for the girls and is better than the alternative they showed in B side.
>drama
Well we need some kind of story that affects the whole cast before the ending. It was either this or "we became top idol unit".
>>852633
>traced
You mean the sudden money spent on decorative hair motion? That looked really out of place for this show.

>You mean the sudden money spent on decorative hair motion?
Not just that, the whole way they drew character faces changed, to something more similar to how Kyoani tends to draw them. But then again that might just be because they were cheaping out on them previously. Compare that last shot to the close-ups in >>846979, the ears are drawn differently, the shape of the head is slightly different, the hair has much more detail, and I think the eyes are smaller too, though that might be a character trait.
Agree that the slideshows were better than the alternative.
No.852827
>>852819
>character faces
Now that I put it side by side, the ears and eyes are totally different styles. Maybe that scene was done by a freelance animator who does Kyoani stuff too or this studio threw more money into this scene. As far as I know animators not contracted to a single studio can draw for whomever they want.

Once again the center girl proves she is worst girl by causing a problem due to jealously. Seems like theyre headed for the "everyone is the center" appeal.
No.858459
Daruma-san was the perfect game, they could keep using freeze shots for a solid 4-5 minutes.
I'm surprised they kept it together this well, the QUALITY has recovered to the levels of the first few episodes, didn't even have a recap episode.
On the other hand the subs were unusually shit, they did get the puns here and there, but lots of things were mistranslated that I noticed even with my shit-tier Japanese.

Pretty much. What I don't get is how she can possibly justify quitting when the group is threatened with being dissolved, adding fuel to the fire with her stupid drama. Even just continuing to stand on the side of the stage would be better.

I thought the last episode would just go straight to the goal but apparently not, it was better than expected. Don't know about including Hanako in the group though, she still can't sing for shit.

Just got around to the last episode. It was better than expected indeed. Not having Hanako in the finale live as a one time only deal would be mean. The CG at the end wasn't the best but I'm glad they did it instead of repeating the animation from the earlier songs. This was a pretty good show overall. It wasn't the best but did well for its budget and certainly worth the time for idolfags.
