I like how everyone's descendants or whatever they are have the same face as the one's from the island, present day I'm assuming. It's to make the correlation between to two timelines which I'm assuming there is at least many centuries gap between them, but it looked ridiculous. The conclusion was alright. I half expected Rinne the younger to throw herself in the ocean again while no one went after her to make sure she was okay. Setsuna wasn't really delicate in dropping the news on her. She turned out remarkably calm and collected considering the circumstances. Disappointed at the inadequate amount of Sara.
This would have been a lot better without the absurd identical time loop and miraculous indestructible stasis pods which somehow survive perfectly intact and functional while everything else from the future crumbles to dust without a trace.

But since VNs usually spend tens of thousands of lines of text just on pointless banter, I'd hope that they could spare a few to explain some shit like, for example, who the original Setsuna was and why he looked exactly like the guy that washed up on shore with no memories, or why the guy with no memories had amnesia when he travelled to the future on one occasion but not on another, or where the 'time travel' technology even came from in the first place.
