Why aren't you watching this gem, /a/? I wouldn't quite use the word comfy, but it definitely makes you want to shout 頑張れ instead of 頑張って hoping Okko-chan does her best!

The subs are shit, Cabbage Subs is as bad if not worse than Horriblesubs to be completely honest, but it's all we've got and at least the folks over there seem like they're honestly trying.

I tried to make a thread last week but it got deleted cause I used an acronym. Make the automod more forgiving, cause that shit is annoying as fuck.

As for the show, it's more heartwarming than moe what with all the lessons and morals. It's like little girls were actually the target audience rather than fully grown men. A solid show, but then again this season has been trash so maybe I'm just desperate. I binged the first 7 eps last week and I'll def finish out the season.

I love and hate watching Okko-chan make mistakes like that since it seems so obvious now that they were bad ideas but I would've done the same things in her place! Also not gonna lie, that episode with the steam burn from not sleeping enough really got to me. I've been in competitions only for a minor mistake to make my whole team unable to compete, and it's a horrible feeling, especially when the judges won't work with you when you know ways around it/want to continue.

This show truly is about growth and learning lessons/morals, and it's rare to see shows touch up on sensitive subjects like this one does.

It's a kinda-short anime. Episodes aren't a standard 4ish minute short, but they aren't full-length either (all roughly 10 minutes). It's really, really good. It's been pretty much the best anime this season in my opinion simply for being so simple yet so good. Marathoning it would probably be worth the wait, but it's also good as just a weekly anime. I'd say it flows better as a weekly anime because there are timeskips here and there that are easy to follow along but make less sense if you watch it in one binge.

I think the best way to describe this show is that it gives you the feeling of watching a little girl grow up. It's weirdly refreshing watching something with a wholesome grounded story and zero fan-service. The sad thing is I almost feel dirty watching this alone cause it's so clearly meant to be enjoyed with family.

Is anyone else excited for the movie this September? I feel like the animation of the TV series has been a bit lacking compared to the previews, but there's occasionally glimpses of animation that just seem right/stand out even in the TV series. I imagine the movie will be beautiful and go into more detail with less time skips involved when we get there, and will be even more pleasant to watch.

Don't know if you are >>831393 but the best thing would be if you would learn how to do webms/mp4s. I'll give you the template I got from the webm-sensei who used to be on this board that I used for these episodes:

"ffmpeg -y -i waka4.mkv -f webm -threads 4 -speed 1 -tile-columns 6 -g 9999 -vf scale=-1:360,subtitles="waka4.mkv" -c:v libvpx-vp9 -b:v 150k -lag-in-frames 25 -c:a libopus -b:a 32k -ac 2 -colorspace bt709 -pix_fmt yuv420p -sn -pass 1 NUL"

Essentially all you need to switch out are the filenames and meddling with the bitrates (b:v and b:a) and the scaling (Standard one are 1:360, 1:480, 1:720) to fit the filesize limit. First you run it with "-pass 1 NUL" to make sure it works and then you run the same line but with "-pass 2 insertname.webm/mp4"

Actually I believe the reason for -pass 1 and -pass 2 is more to do with improving compression. On the first pass it can study the video stream and see which parts require a high bitrate and which parts don't. On the second pass it uses this information to dynamically adjust the encoding settings.

From the ffmpeg man page:

>It is used to do two-pass video encoding. The statistics of the video are recorded in the first pass into a log file (see also the option -passlogfile), and in the second pass that log file is used to generate the video at the exact requested bitrate.
