It definitely doesn't feel like To Be Hero. It has a very loose connection to it and I could see it working but it has a few problems that bother me.
It has more in line with general isekai genre of a girl put into another world than what the previous show was doing. The tone is a little bit more serious with the real world being Chinese language speaking translated in japanese subs and translated for us in english subs. It's not a short and with it's added length, the time they spend on is world building done in a poor way. They overly explain elements that could just be shown with action that would convey it better. The dramatic stuff can be fine, the combat does have time and money put into it, the jokes are eh for the most part.
I think it could have worked but there are too many ideas going around with conflicting pacing (since you're jumping between dramatic reality to humorous other world constantly) that you never get a sense of what you want to get out of the show. It wouldn't call it outright bad but I prefer the previous To Be Hero because everything worked out well in story, humor and pacing while this has good parts, better action but doesn't flow as well as a story.
