Re-designs and re-writes. Also too much fanservice. Now, don't get me wrong. I read the LNs and both manga series. I know some regular fanservice and ryona/rape is mandatory. But let's just imagine a scene like "Cowgirl getting out of bed" drags on for too long, to show her in slow motion and lot's of jiggle from every possible angle. That would mean minutes of screentime wasted on something that isn't goblin slaying.

I was searching the catalog and couldn't find it. Guess I came late to the party.

It would be nice if the animu is narrated from the priest's pov, at least for a while since she's a noob and goblin slayer ends up teaching her a lot not only before but mid-quest, those are great chances for goblin slayer to give her autistic explanations and her extra inner monologues would also add more depth.

As long as the narrator is any character but goblin slayer his autism will be highlighted every time he does something special.

Given that in every quest and flashback there's someone getting raped it could be possible that if they pussy out it gets rewriten to straight killing offscreen, just kidnapping or something similar. If not, It could be done artistically via high contrast shadowing since most quests are done in the dark with torches or next to huge fires.

Wish we knew how many episodes this will have or how much of the LN will intend to cover. that would tell if there's going to be unnecessary filler or not.

Golden Kamuy was adapted by Geno Studio. Goblin Slayer is being adapted by White Fox. WF has previosuly done Steins;Gate, Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, and Re:Zero all of which were at least decent adaptations of the source material.

But, I will grant you that GS might be watered down due to its depiction of nudity and violence.

Goblin Slayer walks the very thin line between cool and cringe when it come to "high impact sexual violence". The art style and especially the pacing essentially manage to keep at bay the worst of the cringe and adding dashes of lightheartedness, color and humor in what would be just another grimdark fantasy snuff manga. That what makes Goblin Slayer, the guy that autisticly want to kill all goblins.

I have no hope whatsoever on the anime being able to manage maintaining that precautions balance.

I mean, we haven't seen any female goblins (to my knowledge) and we haven't seen the goblins breeding with anything else except humans and elves (and we haven't actually seen if elves can produce goblin offspring or not, just that goblins like to rape elves like any respectable species should).

So with that in mind, since goblins can procreate with humans, and since (as of yet) it hasn't been proven that goblins can procreate with elves, and to my knowledge there are no half-human elves, so we can assume that rather than it being fantasy magic goblins in fact share most of their DNA with humans. This isn't hard to believe when you consider the extreme dimorphism between sexes in some species, or how the difference between a human and a Chimp/Bonobo is about 1.2%. Scientists refuse to study between ethnicities but I've seen numbers around 0.2% difference between an Aboriginal and a European. It can be reasoned that it is in fact cannibalism since gobbos need humans to breed, and thus goblins are some sort of subhuman.
