Anime did some things better though such as ending of the loli route which felt far superior to absolute cringe the VN gave. Amane's route was also arguably done better in the anime, but that's counterbalanced by the utter clusterfucks that were supposed to be Chizuru & Sachi's anime routes which it completely butchered. I don't remember if Michiru's route different radically from its anime portrayal so I'm giving that one one a tie until proven otherwise by other anons.

The only thing I really know about this series was that scene that gets posted in "scenes that made you drop an anime" threads, where a blue-haired slut mocked a blond girl for not being a slut, got her completely drunk, and had the MC forcibly drag her to the bedroom so he could emotionlessly steal her virginity, with the whole affair played for laughs.

Dropped the series before I even picked it up.

Stick to the VN. I never played it, but I heart it's a lot better than the anime, which I was disappointed with.

Play the VN. The anime is just an advertisement for the VN.

Wasn't bothered by it at all and it did not feel like father/daughter fantasies either. So JuicyYuuji screwed up and lost an arm at best or his life at worst. It made him feel less invincible than his background made it seem. Makina becoming a high level assassin/secret agent/etc the story attempted to build and is reasonably possible if she focuses on techniques suited to her constitution like poisoning and less so sniping. Then again I only played Makina's and Chiruchiru's routes in Kajitsu without playing any of the sequel games.

The VNs are waaaay better. The anime acts as a rushed, whacky fanservice bonus for people who have already played through the series, though you'll find yourself very disappointed if you want it to be on the same level as the novels. Play though the three VNs before touching the anime, partially so you know how shit ACTUALLY goes and partially because spoilers.

Yuuji's kind of had a shit life, huh? Beat by his dad, mostly ignored out of fear/incompetence by his mom, molested by his sister and also cockblocked from female friendships because "Hey Yuuji, do you know what incest is? <:3c", got dramatically psychologically fucked when he killed his dad and his mom suicided, molested and possibly raped by the faggot that dressed him in girl's clothes, made to fight other kids, got picked up by a sensei that also got all up on that shota dick while training him to be a killer, then when sensei got sick of him and her friend arguing she got her friend drunk and ordered Yuuji to fuck her. She didn't want it to happen and it didn't go over well at first. But they did end up bonding and she became fond of him through the shared experience, though I'm not sure I'd call it healthy. At least they weren't fighting all the time anymore and Julia stopped bitching as much, which I think was all Asako wanted to happen. After Asako dies they seek comfort in each other since they both loved her so much and what else are two fucked up people in that situation gonna do? She becomes his handler later on when he takes over Asako's position as an agent/assassin and she does a pretty decent job of it from what I can tell, at least within the constraints placed on her. Plus it's fun to watch them rip on each other.

I think his mortality only seems weird in retrospect, in Kajitsu he dies relatively normally for a soldier/agent and he's not really played up to be anything more than "a really good assassin of some sort". Once you go through Meikyuu and Rakuen his powerlevel gets an apparent massive boost and considering what occurs in Rakuen, what it takes in Amane's and Makina's routes to kill him seem laughable.

Yuuji's failure in Makina's route bothers me so much because how out of place that sudden mind break that causes it is, even in Kajitsu's context. He just suddenly dun goofs and fails because retarded plot, even him becoming Sachi Mk II in bad end of that route made more sense than that. Anime butchered much and what they did to Chizuru's route was particularly atrocious, but I will fight anyone who claims that it didn't handle Makina's route better than the VN.

The guy's fucked up three ways to Sunday. His sister was the only non-shitty thing in his life growing up (think about that), she was aware of this and used it to try to manipulate him for selfish reasons because she's attracted to him. He wasn't gonna fight back regardless of whether he liked it or not because of how he was. "I'm all he's got, I'm the only one who loves him. I keep him fed and loved and he's so cute when I show him that I love him by doing things to him. It's natural that he can be mine, right?" Later in life he still sees her behavior as "Kazuki being Kazuki" and she's in her own class, which reflects his mindstate and just how influential this girl is/can be. Even when she "dies" she's still a big controlling factor in his life. It's kind of amazing, really. She can move people around very well and she's not shy about doing it in her favor. When it comes to her favorite people, she brings them close to her and sees them as "hers" in a semi-abstract kind of way. Her possessiveness also got stuck to Amane later, and since she "owns" both of those people, her favorite people, she MIGHT let them be together for a bit. Just because she likes them and it's cute but both of them are still hers. "This includes Yuuji, don't you forget it now~."
