And it's annoying how all she does is complain to him about chads she dated. She's seems super tame compared to the usual fujo stereotype you see in other stuff, does the guy get any more character or is he just poker face ikemen that just happens to enjoy playing games while being an adult?

The source material isn't very good either. It had an interesting premise for all of one chapter, and never managed to follow up at all. The manga plods around and honestly just gets boring because nobody actually does anything. It's like monogatari with nothing but conversations except without any of the fun philosophizing and meta moralism.

That's a distinct possibility. Nice catch-I'm afraid my knowlege of runes is excessively limited. One thing though, and that's after watching so many snacks get devoured in anime, I don't recall seeing much in the way of cheeses involved. I wonder what part it plays in Japanese snacking.

Good episode. For a moment I thought we were going to get some over-reaction drama crap from Nifuji wondering if maybe him and Narumi weren't right for each other; but then he comes out and maturely tells her they're going on a date. I forgot for a moment that I'm not watching a high-school romance comedy, but an adult workforce rom-com. Such a nice change. It doesn't piss me off like 3D kanajo does I wonder how many cute screenshots we'll get of the two while they're out on the date?
Or maybe they'll go on a date, decide doing normal couple stuff isn't right for them and go watch anime and play games together again. Either way, I really like this anime. It's nice, sweet, and endearing.

Fuck. I thought I had another episode to enjoy and was looking forward to Kou and Nao becoming closer. Oh well, volumes 1-4 are in my hands now (in a special 2 volumes per book edition) and the third one of those is pre-ordered so I'll have more Wotakoi in my future.
I really liked this show, maybe it's just working in an office myself, but I really love slice of life like this where I can really really relate and identify with the characters. A lot of the time I found myself thinking: Nifuji is me, oh boy. But being totally okay with it. Narumi'd be a good girlfriend too. A bit obnoxious, but wholesome and looking at the real person you are and loving and accepting you. Plus, bacon fried rice? Yes please.
Was easily one of my most looked forward to shows this season considering I watched 30+ shows, that's saying something.
