Just wait for Emperor Jircniv. Ainz genuinely thinks they're on friendly terms with each other, but Jircniv is constantly on the brink of a nervous breakdown over how every move he tries to make ends up playing into Ainz's unfathomable 10,000-year master plan.

The Grand Arena scene was one of the best examples of that. Ainz popped by without warning to say hello, tried to make small talk with Jircniv's guests, and commented about his concern for Jircniv's health since he looked pale and unsteady, not realizing that the guests were High Priests of the Theocracy, conspiring with Jircniv against Nazarick. Of course, they interpreted Ainz's actions as meaning he knew exactly who they were and what they were trying to do, and his facade of friendliness was a sign of supreme confidence meaning that he had planned this all along. The alliance broke before it began, and Jircniv and his entire Empire pledged vassalage to Nazarick shortly after.

Demiurge had previously declared it impossible to vassalize the Empire in any less than a month, and then only with extreme violence and massive casualties. Ainz did it in a three-day visit, with only one fatality, later resurrected and joining Nazarick's side.

She was human then became a vampire and was evil and one of the evil lords/gods thing known as the Vampire Lord Landfall, for she destroyed an entire city in one spell and ruined an entire country. The heroes party, which weren't 13 and only 2 were players, beat her up and she ended fighting alongside them. The whole build up about Evileye was completely fucked up in the anime when it's the only char in the entire universe so far that isn't pathetically weak.

What version is that? The Skythewood/Imoutolicious translation of Volume 1 that I downloaded says nothing of the sort. Is that actually Ainz, or is it Pandora's Actor answering how he thinks Ainz would answer? It's hard to spot. Pandora's Actor is a bit more on the level with him than most, but to my understanding only Albedo has any grip on Ainz's feelings or desires, both due to attention on him as a waifu and stumbling on him contemplating various things over time. She's distracted constantly, though, so I don't think that'll come into play any time soon.

If it were Pandora's Actor, he'd probably have already received a missive with the end result (authorize it) and simply filled in the rest.

I'm just now watching the episode, so one way or another, I'm not sure.

I just got to the scene and that part of the conversation does conclude along the lines of "what's done is done, at least make sure the fairly innocent ones you've already abducted get clean executions."

This is consistent with the rest of his decisions and not good indication that Ainz is entirely on top of his Completely Evil (-500) staffers like Demiurge. Ainz is probably only around Neutral Evil (-100); his behavior is consistent with Mare's, who avoids immoral behavior but is willing to participate if it is necessary for Nazarick's sake.

Benevolent might be the wrong word, but compared to the herd of cats he's wrangling, he's almost certainly a teddy bear.

In volume 11 a pair of Ainz's Death Knights died. He spent half the volume freaked out that an encounter with players might be imminent, and wondering what magic they might have used to kill them both at the same time. It turned out they just fell into a deep hole.

If you have not noticed, there is a running theme with Ainz's Character. Hes an overly cautious, detail oriented sperg who has no idea whats going on but tries his best. In doing so, he tends to bumble his way from one victory to another while avoiding grandiose violence so that people dont hate him too much and he doesnt get ganked by the forces out there that may or may not exist.

Hes not super charasmatic, hes not super smart, hes not the best at leading, but he is funny to read about.

This series is pretty much a Japanese Mr. Bean, with a lot of death and destruction in the wake of the titular character. It appeals to me because it really reminds me of the stupid shit that happens in a /tg/ game and yet the players still manage to pull through.
