Tell me your favorite anime movie and your least favorite anime movie. My favorite anime movie is the K-On movie. It's a genuinely good, fun film. It's the kind of clean film that gets a chuckle out of you. The entire affair is comfy, and it's really nice to watch during winter with a cup of Hot Chocolate.

My least favorite anime film is Cowboy Bebop. I dislike the Cowboy Bebop because it 'feels' different. I would have liked it if it felt like an extended episode like the K-on movie was, but tonally it just *felt* different than the show. I don't know if the staff that worked on it was entirely different or what, but the movie just has this overall different feeling from the show. It also doesn't help that I watched the movie after the anime and it felt weird seeing Spike alive again. What did you guys think about it?

Post your favorite and least favorite anime movie.

Well, I don't know about favorites and least favorites, but I will tell you about the last movie I watched a few days ago:

I watched Only Yesterday (1991) and it was a rather lovely little "move to the Japan countryside because the city will kill you" propaganda piece. Heartwarming, that's for sure. And a very wonderful soundtrack accompanying it, featuring Eastern European peasant music which was - surprisingly - pretty fitting.

I will now proceed to spam your thread with my autistic screenshots, if you don't mind.

I could probably fill the entire list with glibly films, but to limit myself I'll just say Nausicaä and Porco rosso. Other than that I liked Patema inverted, redline and jin-roh, possibly most Patema inverted out of those three. Films I didn't like was Summer wars, girl who leapt through time and earthsea. While not my favourites tokyo godfathers, mind game and perfect blue are also pretty good.

I don't recall watching an anime movie that was bad, and that includes the cowboy bebop one. Jin-roh was the one I enjoyed the least I guess. As for my favorite, Perfect Blue. Satoshi Kon died too soon.

Memories and Millennium Actress hands-down. I do want to see Letter to Momo and Miss Hokusai though.

Thank you so much. This was my favorite Ghibli film and it started me on my course to watching more anime when I was young.

I've wanted to see a countryside like this ever since, but I've never had the chance.

Patlabor 2, by far.

Really liked Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust too.

Most influential for me was Ninja Scroll. Completely changed my perception of anime. All I had seen at that point was DBZ, Sailor Moon and Pokemon. My favorite one is Mononoke Hime. Unlike most other Ghibli movies, it has also has an engaging story being moved along by interesting events and characters, on top of being great visually.

While not my favourite, it still has a special place in my heart, if ony because of the amazing art (Angel's egg).
