Read the VN's through Alternative and to be honest, I can see why it might be a good "Baby's first VN" series but overall for me it was a letdown. I guess the nationalistic perspective might be interesting for modern bluepilled normalfags, but for the average chan-goer it's nothing revolutionary.

I just started unlimited after doing all the routes in extra. It was a bit of a slog but I think it was worth it in the end to learn about all the characters. Tsukuyomi a best.

Unlimited was better than Extra by the virtue of the worldbuilding it does, on top of expanding on the girls' personalities. Unlimited's ending was also my favorite by a wide margin.

After playing all three back to back, unlimited hit pretty hard. I wonder if it was comparable to Stockholm syndrome after all those hours though.

I liked the ending even if it felt a little over-explained. Takeru regressing was pretty bitter though.

I'll give you a quick summery then. Half of the first game is a SoL that mostly there to introduce you to the characters. The second half is a complete 108. And the second game is basically No you don't get to pick a non-shit waifu and they all die horribly anyway. You're really not missing much other then wasted time.

Alternative is save compatible with Extra/Unlimited so there is some bonus content. Plus there are things you wouldn't notice the first time you'd play extra then it'd hit you like a brick.
