Didn't even know there was an official English version of the song, so I'm using this as an excuse to make a thread.

I remember when the line "1999 Bizarre Summer" was thought to be "clutching lonely nights is my sole love", before the official lyrics were released.

Objectively best Jojo rank (personality and development through the series)

Jhonny>>>>Jolyne>>>Joseph>>>Jotaro>>>Josuke>>>Jonathan>>>Josuke (part 8) = Giorno(Jotaro with autism)

Part 5 when?

Better yet part 7 when

>Jotaro with autism

So... Just Jotaro?

Both Gyro and Johnny individually and also the dynamic they had with each other was what made SBR the best for me.

SBR being so good is probably part of the reason I need to force myself to even read part 8. It's so fucking boring, comparatively.

I don't even know how they'd adapt Parts 7 and 8 if it ever comes to that.

The style is too realistic now to look even remotely faithful to an anime.

Unless they, like, invest in some very expensive OVAs instead of a TV format, but that'd never happen.

Part 7 would get released after 2022, if they go for the 2 year for every part, so who know maybe the technology will improve by then and it will be much cheaper to animate at that quality/artstyle, or we will get a good CGI adaptation of part 7

is what I wanted to say

Holy shit nigger get some discernment. Johnny is nothing but a foil to Gyro, and he gets retconned halfway through. He's bad both in intent and in execution.

Completely wrong.

I disagree, and wholeheartedly believe that Jonathon is in fact, the best JoJo.

Though past that, Johnny is the best after that, and Joseph after him. Jolyne wasn't very interesting so I wouldn't rate her very high, but Josuke(4) I felt was a better protagonist than Jotaro at the very least.

Why was Battle Tendency so different from the rest of the arcs? Everything from the bombastic music to the storytelling style was different and frankly better.

Why is the ova so much better than the anime?

(Except having an oil tanker instead of road roller)

It even explains why Dio talks in the time stop instead of making him look like a dumb cocky retard

 No.784683

>>784678

They saved up all their budget for the Jotaro/DIO battle. The OVA is mostly complete garbage but for a few parts. I don't know how the fuck anyone can prefer the anime's "Za Warudo" sound-effect of a farting clock more than the OVA's version, though.

>1999 Bizarre Summer

Makes you wonder how many people here are old enough to actually remember what it was like for them.

I liked the D'arby part of the OVA more. His VA was great (may he rest in peace) and it's also paced better. Actually my main problem with the full anime is pacing: Every scene is drawn out to the point of tedium.

>bombastic music

They haven't used the same composer across the entire thing, for starters. Thus far the current adaptation has had three different composers over the four arcs covered: Hayato Matsuo working on Phantom Blood, Taku Iwasaki on Battle Tendency, and Yugo Kanno on both Stardust Crusaders and Diamond is Unbreakable. Iwasaki in particular has the likes of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Soul Eater amongst his past composition work as well.

I'm sure someone could re-encode this better, and they should.
