I was interested in Shogi before the show aired, but it's really hard to get into. I can't find Fairbarn's "Shogi for Beginners" online, and Hidechi's videos, from my knowledge of chess, are very shallow.

Finding materials and clubs is harder too, far harder than with mahjong.

Most of that is dramatization. 3gatsu does a much better job with in-game players messing with each other in terms of how close to the real thing it appears.
