Really liked the OP and Chise's droopy eyes. Been following the manga for at least two years.Cant wait for more healing. If I had one pet peeve it would be Silky's small "mm" and "hmm", I had the impression that she had taken a vow of silence.

Having not read the manga, I wasn't too sure where the OVAs were heading, with the story and all. Especially since I didn't know they were prequels. This first episode tied them all up wonderfully, and I found it more enjoyable than all three of them.
And somehow, in three OVAs and one episode, Chise has managed to grow miles on me. Something about the suffering, and the frailty, and those eyes; She's really pretty and likable.
The show's also really, really well done from what I can tell. Beautiful art and an insanely captivating and enchanting world. I'm just wondering if it's all setting up the stage for extreme suffering or something.

The few shoujo I've read and watched tended to follow one of these patterns:
>female lead is perfectly normal - but nice - and males fawn over her for no reason
>female lead is seen as weird - but is actually nice - and males fawn over her for no reason
>female lead is great and males fawn over her, but for someone reason becomes weird - but is still nice - and males fawn over for her for no reason
There's obvious exceptions, notably Utena which actually has a story and Nana which is about sluts being sluts, but for the most part the rest of what I've seen followed one of the patterns above. I'm a story fag that also happens to enjoy good characters, neither of which I have been able to find in shoujo that follow the formulas.

The female lead is special in this though, and also unfortunate in her circumstances and got lucky enough to be bought by a kind magus who wants to make her his waifu. I was instantly hooked because it looks healing, for the characters as well as me watching them become happier and improving their lives. Since I can't obtain happiness my only outlet is to observe happiness and absorb some through osmosis.

They returned to nature with the help of the fairy and a bit of ingenuity from Chise. It was meant to convey that Chise is talented, despite being a lost lamb. Remember the Poppy flowers, they are important.
It's also worth mentioning that this is a Shoujo anime. It appeals to emotion rather than logic, and doesn't need to make sense. Logic is for men. All teenage japanese girls care about is headpats and praise from strong alpha males.

How many other possibilities are there for a man named as both Joseph and Cartaphilus, who was cursed with immortality by the Son of God? The author isn't exactly beating around the bush in who it's supposed to be.
And that aside, there are two different translations of that chapter, and both use the term, so it was clearly there in the original Japanese.
