How much lewder? There seems to be plenty of "sidequests" (filler) trimmed out of the 2017 series and what was kept goes by at a swifter pace-- one that does keep certain jokes from overstaying their welcome. I would not say that the classic was "lewder", but it was different, for example during Kukuri's dance in the classic she showed more legs, while the remake she shows more shoulders and chest. I don't have the classic scene to show, but it was similar to this crop from the manga.
The remake improved over the classic in every way outside of pacing in my opinion, the action scenes, the comedy, even in the fanservice. The manga has plenty of cutelewd moments every single volume, as common for many comedy manga from early 90s, so although is really cute, it's not really a show a normalfag would be comfortable watching, for example.
No.737096
>>737093
Yeah, found the clip off kissanime. She shows more leg and they have her wiggle her butt under her dress, but it doesn't really do the top pull-down. It also prolongs the whole frozen Nike bit with Kukuri trying to unfreeze him with tickles and waving Old Man fruit pies under his nose. Everything does seem to take its time in the original compared to the remake.
The big issue is how the remake has to follow that televised rule of dimming fast/bright action so as to not trigger another Porygon incident

Close, but they don't really look the same. It's obvious they have no thickness because of all the folds which touch the skin.
In contrast, Jujus pantsu only seem to touch her skin at the waist and leg openings. Everywhere else there's at least half an inch of bulk. Most of the fabric doesn't have shadows, indicating that it's smooth rather than wrinkled. The only way a piece of clothing would take on that smooth, convex shape is if there was some thick padding underneath which prevented it from collapsing inwards.
If they aren't diapers, they're at least a very fluffy, thick pair of pantsu.

I kind of have mixed feelings. My rational mind is telling me the show is really good but for some reason I find myself being distracted while watching it. I also tend to put off watching a new episode all the way until the next one comes out, when I force myself to watch that first one. I don't think I dislike the show but that's what the symptoms point to.
I don't really know why though. One reason might be that the pacing is a bit odd, where the overall story seems rushed since it's obviously cut down from the original but each individual episode feels almost twice its length. I think the humor also took a bit of a dive from the earlier episodes as the show went on, and it's a bit unfocused on characters. Nike and Kukuri don't get as much screentime as they should because we keep having to see what Juju or Kaya or some random goon is up to so they end up feeling shallow and the side characters end up feeling annoying.
It's weird to be so critical of the show because in spite of all that I still like it.

>The old guys show up again for the final battle
I loved this show to death. It was really funny but also so sweet and innocent. We got to go on a wonderful adventure with Kukuri and Nike. This was my anime of the year for sure.

I'm really glad I picked this up, even if I was late to the start. I really liked that the end was a sort of "New Game+" and not just a walk off into the sunset.
The adventures of Kukuri, Nike and friends can go on forever in our hearts.

I just binged the series and all I can say is nothingness, because this show has brought me back to my roots. I feel like a little kid again.

I can't continue after this. It was too good. I didn't want it to end. I loved every minute.
