That's kinda fucked up, OP, but I understand what you're dealing with. You've got the Blood Lust. Not everyone has it in them to harm another living being, but some of us do. It takes discipline to control it. Have you taken any psycopathy tests? Talked to a professional? Beating your pets is fucked up because they love you unconditionally, like your children, or whatever. Harming innocents is never a good thing. People with Blood Lust are needed in this world though. The soldiers who destroy enemies. The cop that puts down Jamal. The bouncer at the club who thumps the unruly drunk. Boxers and fighters. You can't always fix everything with words or hugs. Sometimes, you have to punch a mother fucker in the face. I think you need to find a constructive and productive outlet to sate your Blood Lust. Have you ever considered becoming a prison guard? It's a state job with good benefits and you'll get to unleash some rage every day. You can be an asshole 40-60 hours per week and get paid for it! Aside from that, you'll be making the world a better place by inflicting pain and suffering onto scumbags who deserve it. Doggo doesn't deserve it, but the punk that stabbed some poor elderly lady to death for her purse to buy more drugs, he deserves to be tormented for the rest of his life and everyone will cheer you on as you find creative new ways to shit on his entire existence. Not to mention the exhilarating rush you get from a combat high when fighting against someone who can fight back. After a wild day on duty, you can come home satisfied and relax with doggo and give it the love it deserves. It's a rewarding career that you can be proud of, OP, and I think you should look into it. I sincerely wish you the best in controlling your Blood Lust.
