The joke of course being:

In other words, since consciousness isn't limited by "biology" there is no reason to think the capacity and capability of the mind is either. MRI is simply an illusion; people can have far more capability than what scientists "calculate"; gods literally billions of years old, with capabilities greater than supercomputer, can sit next to you and have a sandwitch and you would be nun the wiser.

-Prophecy and religion as evidence of judgement is irrelevant, since there would literally be hundreds of trillions of different religions and gods, all with their different prophecies, and all of them coming true in different iterations of VR realities with pod baby populations. What can we say; that "lilith" from the world of "Sanctuary", in our 4th volume of it's history; while many of it's symbolical systems are quite interesting, they are still completely technologically primitive compared to the rest of the galaxy. More powerful symbologists are capable of traveling to other planets, and systems, but they are exceptionally rare.

There are numberous religious systems, and their main civil war between the theological factions in that year, seem to be between the faction of an "inarius" and a "lilith". How to break the Primacy of an "Artifical Intelligence" "Architect" that claims complete primacy of an entire reality through objective evidence using black holes.

It's quite simple anon; the simple phenomena of time distortion as one proceeds closer to the threshold of matter disintegration in black holes has an interesting implication in terms of simulation theory and time.

Time, is, in terms of consciousness, defined as the rate of change of the "mind" of the observer of the "external field" relative to the rate of geometric change of the observed phenomena. Now with "normal" black hole physics the formula remains congruent since rate of biological change in state, matches rate of consciousness, relative to environ.

The formula; however, breaks when a third state is introduced, in the form of "Matrix Architects" who claim primacy over the beings locked within geometric parameters of existence. Namely that since the beings who "know" they're in a VR, simultaneously are being monitored, their "brain" electrochemistry, and nerve inputs and outputs, are in a 1 to 1 ratio with the relative parameters of the VR simulation; thus the entire scenario falls apart when an individual in this scenario, is in a situation where they can escape the time dilation.

To put it bluntly; the observation of the relative time, means that in a "30 second window" for an individual to escape a planet in the Black hole scenario exists, in their relative time, that even if years should pass, on the other side of a stargate, with the aperature open, then the individual would exist the time dilation and reenter the existent time state, with different rates of "time" past.

With the Matrix "primacy" scenario, the situation falls apart, as the rate of observation and internal "change in state", will not match the rate of biochemical change in state in the "tube", which is being observered, without breaking the premise of the "primacy of physics/biology" as the rate of change will not, and cannot match the biological rate of change inside the tube; and if it did it would indicate that the "matrix" reality is in a state of primacy over the "tube people/machine" reality; however even this would be possible, since it would still create a discrepancy between the change in state of chemistry relative to the different observered tubes.

Either way; "continuity of physics" relative to biological "rate of observation", and biochemical change in state, is completely destroyed, and the reign of consciousness and magic, over the primacy of the "material" returns.

That this situation dosen't need to be observed to be true, only proves my point.

Ok; anons, a completely different type of analysis from World War 2, awaits us today; instead of tactical analysis, or strategic military options utilized we'll be looking at the path to victory for the Germans, and seeing how, geopolitically they could have instead, if the stated goal was indeed recovering German lands, and "lebenstraum", how they could have, instead utilized political maneuvering to force peace upon the British despite the stubborn insistence of Churchill that he would rather support the devil if Hitler invaded hell, than make peace with Germany; the irony, of course, being the number of nations deciding the same thing in the 1940s.

A small price to pay, especially when one considers that almost all "cultural" considerations could be addressed by a simple policy of mandatory education in the native tongue of those lands, by any German settlers; while at the same time teaching the African children in their native tongues, before having them learn German at later stages of their education.

Release Poland after having departed from France after instituting a "change of government" into Vichy France, with the exception of Danzig, which you give access to the liberated part of Poland, without charge or taxes; Polish citizens are simply allowed to come and go as they please to the area, without so much as a borderline, poles, or passport; in Danzing they are simply given a huge area of dockspace and rail connection without so much as bothering with paperwork, with areas provided for docks and drydocks for ship and military vessel construction, should Poland choose to make such an investment.

Having departed from France, created a new state the equivalent of the "middle Kingdom" of Lotharingia, or the unified ambition of Burgundy; any number of flags, or nations being utilizable (and could be decided by vote of the people in the new unified state, with none of the old nations being on the ballot) Germany has created a situation where France and Germany no longer share a land border, while simultaneously putting Britan in the situation where it has vacated the area that was the cause of the war in the first place while having secured Madagascar from France; with only Denmark and Norway remaining occupied, Germany would leave both Denmark and Norway, after a peace treaty was concluded with Britain, it would be next to impossible to raise popular support for the war in the US, as any claims of "Hilter conquering the world" seem absurd; as Germany would have literally withdrawn from every area of contention except for Danzig.

Well anons; after our brief fora'y regarding the rest of Europe, we turn our attention to where the Romans said all roads lead, to Italia, and how the Italians could have possibly changed the outcome of the North Africa campaign in the critical time before American intervention in Europe lead the situation in North Africa to become unwinnable, resulting the withdrawl, or surrender, of all axis forces in North Africa; and more importantly how such actions could have prevented the disaster of the surrender of an Italian army Sidi Barrani, and other Italian disasters, while simultaneously aiding in completely securing axis convoy lines across the Mediterranian to North Africa, while completely cutting off supplies to both Malta, and making it impossible to ship to forces in Egypt without going around the entire continent of Africa to reach the Suez canal.

Fundamentally, the difference in approach is something that would have to be prepared years in advance, namely the deployment of hundreds of aircraft on multiple aircraft carriers, giving the Italians a complete edge in mobility, and allowing North African forces to, once complete airsuperiorty is achieved, to be supported with close air support from aircraft who's logistical train allows them to keep pace with the advancing forces, without airfields, and allows them to be supplied directly from Italy, instead of having to have the gasoline, bombs and other munitions first shipped from Italy to North Africa, via cargo ship, before then, burning gasoline along the huge expanse of the North African advance, before delivering a meager surplus of gasoline, and repeating the arduous long distance supply trip, through the North Africa desert roads, again. In sharp contrast, a fleet of carriers could literally simply supply in Italy, before sailing to the front, and immediately begin strafing runs of British supply trains, soft targets and bombing entrenched and fortified antitank positions; the very doctrine of integrated close air support that had provided such a crucial edge to the German forces in the Blitzkrieg of first Poland in 1939 and then France, in 1940.

The question, of course, being how given the limitations of the Italian budget and ship building industries, and the constraints of the Washington/London Naval treaties, which limited Italy to a mere 60,000 tons of total aircraft carrier tonnage; in contrast to the 135,000 tons of the British Empire, and the additional 60,000 tons of the French.

The answer, is somewhat complicated, but also somewhat simple. Both the British and French are committed to deep Blue water navies, meaning that their ships are committed to patrolling and being able to protect their convoy interests in the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, while also protecting the far Eastern colonies of Britain, France, and the Dutch in South East Asia, from the Japanese, meaning that all of their ships are engineered to withstand the forces of storms, and self propel through such weather, make the journey to colonial assets, while simultaneously being armored and armed well enough to survive the war environment; all of which implies that the conventional carrier designs of the time period were, in and of themselves, considered adequate for the British and French navies.

The Italians on the other hand, had a unique opportunity available to them because of the unique environment the Mediterranean provided; namely the short distance between points of interest.

The average fleet carrier weighed between 19,000 tons, for 69 aircraft for the Soryu class, while the Shokaku class at 31,000 tons carried 84 aircraft, while the Yorktown class carried 90 aircraft, at 25,900 tons. The situation, in terms of treaty tonnage and industry wasn't in Italy's favor, if conventional strategy were followed.

The solution; building Trimaran style carriers where two hulls were built to full flight deck fleet carrier length, while completely removing the screws, engines, propellers, and other heavy machinery from the ship design, leaving only some generators; but otherwise only having all the equipment necessary for flight operations; munitions, aviation gasoline, and additional Bunker oil all being stored in the ship; but otherwise all the removal of said sections leading to enormous savings in build time, cost of construction, and weight. The weight saving would be so great, that necessary armor over certain sections, such as around magazines and aviation fuel, could instead use further cost and time saving construction measures, such as using extra thick plates of pig iron, or even concrete, to armor the sections; instead of the expensive and time consuming, and industrially limited, step of using reinforced ship plate. On the sides of each would be a docking interface where they would interface with a similar mechanism installed on both sides of their battleships.

The fundamental premise is quite simple; the escort class cvs, Ryujo class weighing in at 12,700 tons, and Independence class 14,200 tons, each managed about 30-40 aircraft while having all propulsion and engine components established. By removing the heaviest and most expensive portions of the ship, the length is allowed to be increased to that of a full fleet carrier, allowing a compliment of 80-100 planes, on both sides of the trimeran; meaning that if the weight can be limited to 5,000 to 10,000 tons, then Italy would have a carrier flight capacity of around 600-1200 planes that it could use effectively anywhere in the Mediterranean; or most especially along the path of advance of Italian units in North Africa, in addition to the Africa Corps, if it even needed to be deployed.

The question of course, being why would it be necessary to attach the ships to the Battleships? The answer of course, being that the naval of tonnage of the Battleships is already completely allocated within the treaty stipulated tonnage allocations of the "battleship class", thus the engines and propulsion system, cannot possibly be allocated within the context of the carrier tonnage of the allowable treaty tonnage, as that would be weighing the same components twice within the treaty system, meaning that as long as the carriers were built within the design of a trimaran, then it would be impossible to try to designate the propulsion tonnage as being within the context of the carrier weight; meaning that all the saved weight could be dedicated to carrier wing capacity, munitions, and fuel.

Hydrodynamic propulsion, of course being completely different than both Ariel and ground movement and transport would mean, that fuel consumption would actually be identical for the battleships, as the number of revolutions per second, of the props, would remain identical at any given speed setting on the battleship, while overall speed would be determined by the drag of the additional carriers, while the additional weight would only add to the inertia of the trimaran, thus only adding to the time it took to reach "top speed" at any additional fraction of total engine output, and not affect the drag.

Ultimately, the trimeranes would allow Italy to have almost uncontested control of the Med, allowing the destruction of any convoys that attempted to sail through, allowing close air support along the line of advance through North Africa, without the nessisity of having the airfleet supplied through the already strained ports, and long logistical trains of the North African front; in number that could not possibly be sustained in terms of supply if airfields were utilized, while the availability of fuel, for tanks, trucks, etc, by the Axis North African forces could have, by seizing control of the sea lanes, been solved as easily as a tanker sailing up to the coast and fueling up the trucks on the beach with an extremely long hose.

Any attempt, by the RN, to contest, using the forces in Alexandria, would have to do so against several fleet carriers, before even arriving within gunnery range; where upon the docking clamps, and support structures, of the trimeran, could be disengaged, and the battleships engage in battle against whatever surface forces remain to contest the air supremacy of the Italian carriers, which simply weigh anchor, continuing to attack the RN surface combatants, until the fleet battle is decided.

Of course, given the difficulty of constructing an interface for the trimaran for the different segments, what possible reason would there be, aside from treaty stipulations, to build the ships with interlocks, to form a trimaran, when aside from smoothing sailing, the various sea states would mean a very complicated mechanism would be required to hold the ships together, without the locking mechanism tearing itself, or the ships to pieces in rough seas?

Afterall treaty designs have time to be built and implemented, by the fact is that either Italy or Rommel in 1940 or early/mid 1941, could have requested that these carrier types be built and towed into place by the battleships instead, simply welding or riveting a carrier size hull together as rapidly as possible, before creating the internal munitions, hanger, and storage spaces, simply utilizing layers of poured cement to "armor" the flight deck, hanger, fuel, and munitions storage areas; assuming they just closed off areas after pour the cement, if they used the cement simply as armor, and didn't use it structurally; they wouldn't have to even wait for the cement to dry before loading up the carriers, because afterall, wet cement does just as good a job at absorbing high explosives as dry cement does, and towing them off station to the closest part of the front in North Africa, entirely keeping the Royal Navy at bay, with hundreds of aircraft, with a short a secure logistical supply line, while simultaneously completely securing their convoy supply lines; with the entire process for building the ship taking less than a month, would be the priority.

So, with the treaty stipulations in mind; what other reason would Italy bother with the trouble of engineering trimeran class fleet carriers, to interface with their battleships and create trimeran style hybrid capital ships…..

The answer is actually quite simple, when one considers international prestige, fleet proceedings, portraits of naval vessels made for the admiralty and public at large and even prestige of the various branches of the armed forces in competition with each other for funding.

At our previous look at the Battle of Leyte Gulf, we concluded that due to the decisive advantage that America had, at this point in the war, in the number of operational aircraft, that even had the Japanese combined their fleet, that the number of aircraft that the US had available for the battle of Leyte Gulf, over 1000 planes available for striking at the Japanese fleet, that even had the Japanese combined their fleet, the number of aircraft would make it such that the US would still likely be in a position where it could inflict decisive damage, with air dropped torpedoes, on the 9 battleships of the Japanese combined fleet; even with the combined aircraft carrier and land based fighters devoted entirely to escort duties for the fleet, with any decision to engage the Japanese combined fleet in the decisive battle they sought, being largely a political decision on the part of the US, with the US simply being in a position to deny action while utilizing their carrier fleet advantage.

Yet, even with such being the case, one must ask, is this necessarily the only possible conclusion to the battle that could have been fought? What else could Japan have done to force the battle and force it differently?

Fundamentally; while the level of industrial disparity between the US and Japan, is of course an issue, much more so than if the Battle had been only between Japan and the British, for example, the issue at question, even given this disparity, given that the premise that "experts" who evaluate the Pacific war, evaluate the war upon, was the the age of the Battleship had ended, and that age of the Carrier reigned in world war two, in the Pacific, is that this premise is basically unchangeable, given the evidence; the only evidence of course, being the very war which they fought which supports this premise.

This circuitous logic, is, of course, a logical fallacy; but that it is so, also begs the question as to what could possibly be done differently by the Japanese, or any of the naval powers to change this premise. The answer, is surprisingly simple.

The fundamental premise, of carrier warfare, is that bombs, and torpedoes, can inflict decisive damage to Battleships before they can get in range to fire, while Battleships have no way of forcing battle against Carriers, which can simply steam away and deny battle. The case, such as in the Battle of Letye Gulf, being that in certain scenarios, such as convoy or invasion escort, it is impossible to deny the Battleships battle, as to do so is cede ocean control of an area; doing so achieves the entire purpose of a fleet in being, in the case of Leyte Gulf, the invasion had landed, and the transports, supply ships, fuel ships all had to be protected. There simply was no way for the Americans to deny battle through withdrawal; thus it can be said that the Battleship did indeed remain the decisive weapon when battle could be forced in a given area; the only way for carriers to win in such a context, is by sinking the fleet in being, failure to do so, is failure in mission objective, and would have resulted in the destruction of the invasion force for the Philippines, with all provisions, ammunition, fuel, and method of evacuation. At best, the US force would be isolated on Leyte, with no method to invade the neighboring islands, and at worst it would face starvation.

Thus, the question for the Japanese, and the only way they could force a decisive battle against the Americans, was the destruction of the American Air Fleets; doing so would force the Americans to fight the Japanese with their 9 Battleships against the American 12, with the advantage in other combat designations also to the Americans; an advantage but, as history is indicative enough, not enough of an advantage for victory to be a forgone conclusion.

While a entirely defensive Japanese airfleet of fighters, over their fleet, would indeed change the attack and loss parameters of the incoming American aircraft, it would not have been enough to prevent American victory in the skies, and the subsequent air attacks on the fleet, with damage and losses making victory an impossibility.

What then, could the Japanese have done? Given that they had two years after the Battle of Midway, knowing that the US had a decisive advantage in building ship and aircraft, the solution is something that they could have conceived of, and is well within their industrial capability; that this solution was implementable in 1939, is also the reason that the age of the Battleship need not have ended, and that it's supremacy in exerting power over contested areas could have continued.

The simple solution, escort antiaircraft vessels specifically fabricated to run the length of capital ships on both sides of every capital ship, with length of the escorts determining the number required per capital ship. These ships would be carrying nothing but 2-3 levels of as many anticraft guns as they could fit onto them, and would, in and of themselves, likely increase the number of antiaircraft guns in the Japanese fleet by a significant magnitude, running along the length of a capital ship, in both directions, with perhaps one at the bow and stern as well, the number of anticraft guns, in the Japanese fleet would likely increase by an order of somewhere between 10 to 20 times as many; meaning that any attack by anything less than air fleets of hundreds of aircraft would be swatted out of the sky, and any attack by such airfleets playing into the hands of the Japanese, as the Americans would literally be flying their aircraft into the most concentrated areas of AA; and lose the vast majority of their aircraft, in even a single strike; making followup strikes an impossibility, and making air support for American troops, during the invasion, also impossible, due to the losses sustained. Ironically enough, attacking the Japanese fleet in such a circumstance, being the only way that the Japanese could destroy the American airfleet.

Each of these fabricated ships, would also solve another of the key issues faced by the Japanese, namely torpedo attack. The means they do so, is actually surprisingly direct, by running abrest to every capital ship, they simply intercept any torpedo by letting the torpedo hit the ship, survival in such a case is literally by being designed to do so, as the Japanese could have solved the issue of lack of shipbuilding materials, by literally making the ships with multiple modular layers of concrete, each of the 2 to 3 layers serving as a interception buffer from the hull of the ship, with concrete being espically strong to compressive forces, such as found in torpedo explosions, multiple hits in a single section of the ship would be required to get through the multiple layers of concrete; any debris in the area meaning that the torpedo would again, explode in an outer layer, and not even hitting the middle or inner layer. In regards to the issue of fuel, the AA escort ships could be deliberately designed to utilize coal, instead of oil, as their purpose was to be disposable, torpedo interception ships, in addition to destroying the American airfleet. That additonal layers of protection could be found by adding reserve coal, in the buffer layers between the concrete, is also worthy of mention. In conjunction to the number of antiaircraft guns, what this means that even if any torpedo bombers did manage to survive long enough get a torpedo in the water, that it would be impossible to actually hit any of the capital ships, with these ships running along their length, their simply not being enough space between the concrete AA escort ships, and the capital ships, for a torpedo drop to be accurately executed, let alone the odds of successfully pulling off a torpedo run in terms of the numbers of AA available; but then in the context of such an attack, one has to ask what would some of the main determinants of success even be?

The American airfleet, would of course have the two determinants, in such an attack of total number of aircraft, and density of aircraft in the attack; increased "density" of attack, meaning that the AA available have fewer targets to focus on, meaning that more AA is brought to bear per target, which, is the entire point of using a defensive airfleet in conjuction with the Japanese fleet, as while operating in open airspace they would have little chance of winning against the American airfleet, over the Japanese fleet, any attack on part of the American airfleet by the accompanying fighters, would force a dogfight, meaning that the air density of the attack would decrease by anywhere by a half to a third; while the duel was on going, and that any survivors would also have to attack the fleet at with drastically decreased density of attack; increasing losses, and decreasing chances that any successful hits would be made against Japanese capital ships.

Regardless of which, the chances of achieving torpedo strikes against Japanese battleships, in this scenario, would be extremely negligible, any bomb hits would be insufficient in stopping the group, and likely be quite few in number.
