relatives and friends are doing well, we are all safe and healthy.

I am also loaded but not loaded with my job. Because of the virus I got to volunteer for remote work and now work from home, I have more pay, more hours, and more stability because of all this hehe.

Well, that could take much longer, as this board serves only for sign-offs of the dva-ch.net rm threads and as a backup of the same, the things that are normally no ones care about unless something bad is happening. 8kun downtimes for the last year, bans from russian direct internet access and constant breakup of the convenient chan's accessory tools also does not make it more pleasant to use.

Are you working on some information or surveillance citizens support, something that is related to your usual job, or you are crafting some masks, sanitizer solutions and alike?

I'm working too deeply inside the development chain to be directly involved into some pandemics mitigation measures, but the company I'm working now is crucial part of internet communications, for the first time I feel that I'm not only earning some money or fulfilling some personal curiosity about technologies but making something important and useful, and not some junk gadgets or services with no real value like I've used to.

That's great. I'm being busy with my work and I have to finalize one of my dream that is ruling all my wishes and interests for more than a decade and that eclipses some small funs like vidya and is pressuring me more in the last 2 years, that's why my activities other than posting is a but dimmer. I'll probably have more time for mass updating the booru and alike after I'll finally close that dreaming.

That seems to be completely different from what is going on here, layoffs and freezing of the outsource contracts and a millions of the seasonal workers from Poland/Germany/Italy/etc floods the local jobs market.

There are many free volunteers as well, the real shortage is the total lack of money and the heavily worn utilities, the small business like restaurants were too luxurious for average persons even before the virus outbreak, and now they have virtually no customers and are permanently closing.

I'm packed with canned food, cereals, US MRE's and concentrated IPA for sanitizing things enough to live for months without going outside and have a cash for years, but I'm afraid there could be food riots in a couple of weeks as it is neither infeasible for government to sustain all citizens under a lockdown for a long time, nor there is savings for such a scale. Things are pretty calm now, though, the only creepy thing coming is an Orthodox Easter, the major and extremely social holiday that may skyrocket infection counts.

Well, such a long absence followed by realizations like that is not something common and it seems that there is some more reasoning than just being occupied with the job or alike. However, I feel I should not discuss such things that I'm not aware of, and this board is not designated for some separate discussions. It's better to reach me at the main thread.

Personally I would recommend the midwest to reside. Do not fall for the lure of the west coast, California is a death trap of sky high prices and entitled americanism the rest of the country even hates.

No. Pairing the chans with off-chans contacts is a calling for misunderstandings and dramas, and also, people tends to be very dependent on the surroundings and getting passivated or being opening from the dark sides if being pulled out of the places they were originally encountered. This aversion has a long and painful story and is so essential that I had left /desu a long time ago to not bother BO and others with it.

Detroit is dangerous and risky. Texas is a good option, aim for there then. Or somewhere like Minnesota, Atlanta, I would advise against Chicago or New York. But California is absolutely a trap that will leave you with little money to try moving elsewhere.

There is no difference if BO or anyone else would come here or to .rip. Things are being spoiled time to time and that is not too bothering actually, you should think more about yourself, and why you want to discuss some inter-personal things with the outsiders.

I'm somewhat disappointed to see that it is not only post-soviet lifestyle, the continuity of the culture and family savings between generations is probably the most praised western thing for me. I know that it's typical in US to free from the parents fast and take a full responsibility for higher education, jobs and residence, but it still hardly comparable to the disruptive changes that have happened over here with each generation, i.e. each 30 years the currency literally becomes abandoned and you simply cannot make any reliable savings.

I'm not whining actually, there are many positive sides as well, but the generations continuity is something that I'd really love to have for my children.
