Q is tied to the freemasons.
Whether Q is friend or enemy to the masons is not clear. All I can say is Q is close to them.
Freemasonry is inherently evil. Although most masons are good people, the structure of internal promotion combined with secrets manifests and encourages fertility to evil. It is a structure that breeds corruption at a fundamental level.

"Dark to Light" is a calling to the freemasons. I believe that Q might be tapping into the moral loyalty of the freemasons and opening secrets to them. Q is probably notifying them that the heirarchy of their structure contains corruption and evil. Darkness to light. This is the direction of the freemason. This is identical to the direction of Q.
Ultimately, the light bearer is found - Lucifer. The ambiguity of this final deity is a defining characteristic of evil, for it is the language of evil to be ambiguous.
Whosoever attaches to the light alienates his origin in darkness. Whosoever avoids the light prohibits his growth. Albert Pike's Sun and Moon are like the Yin and Yang. Throughout the world, the greatest consistency at the highest levels of wisdom is that of balance.
Know this - the balance of negative and positive is zero. There is a net zero truth to everything. As such, nothing should be worshipped. No weapon should be favored, according to Miyamoto Musashi. Neither should any belief. Neither should any political party. Only in abandonment do we remove the desire of the enemy to infiltrate. Because the enemy predictably moves according to desire, this is an advantage. The enemy can have the government because we the people are about to replace it. I digress.
Whereas freemasonry has implanted an evil structure into the bedrock of our country, we have yet a balance to it - to overthrow a tyrannical government and install a new one. We have seen Q drop exactly this.
