I feel Doom 2's Map 13 is the worst by far. It literally has an arrow pointing you where to go, I guess Peterson couldn't give enough of a fuck to actually design the level properly.

To me, MOST of DooM II's maps are kinda' ass. Not that some of them aren't fun, but they all kind of feel like a clusterfuck. I suppose it's easy for me to say now, since anyone can just toss out a map these days in a matter of hours, if not minutes, with DooM Builder.

Still, I remember using DooM editing and mapping software for Windows 3. I got as far as making one arena, with no real understanding of how it all worked, so I still feel like DooM II was kind of slapdash in its construction.

Doom 2's levels get shockingly bad towards the middle, people really let the game off too lightly on that. I still get kinda lost playing them today.

I just played through Fortress of Mystery (more like Misery) last night. If it wasn't a hidden level, I'd be angry at its stupidity.

In all my years of playing Doom, I've never actually seen that map

O-oh, oh no. Just from the map view, I can tell this isn't good.
