They needed to set it up properly. They had all of these guys on Smackdown kicking the shit out of each other the past two months, and a ton of new feuds had started recently. How are we supposed to bolieve they all just managed to put it aside like that? Plus it made the entire Blue roster look like heels. It's not like Smackdown was full of RAW-rejects, or people who were wronged by Kurt, they just attacked. I have a sense of what angle they were trying to go for, but they needed to do a much better job of hinting at something brewing under the surface, rather than just drop Shane in on RAW and say "hashtag under siege."
Don't get me wrong, an angle like this is what Survivor Series is supposed to be all about. But there's no fuel to the fire.
