I don't see anyone calling him the greatest. He definitely wasn't the greatest talent wise, but his character and charisma are what people like about him. OP just reeks of /asp/ pasta though. Like, why didn't you say who you think is "the greatest or most significant or most influential" pro wrestler ever?

The biggest wrestlers of all time is a faggot beach bum who said brother and waved his hands and rocking his head while getting punched squarely on his forehead. A blond haired hillbilly who talked about how rich he was and had a liking to dress off and hit his clothes, a fat guy who said funky-monkey etc ,etc.

It's not a fucking sport. Nobody gives a shit about the athleticism of the moves. I just saw Johnny Impact vs Eli Drake and Johnny Impact pulled of some great looking moves. But nobody gives a shit, which if you compare it to Macho Man who maybe once in a match got up on the turn-buckle and the whole arena left their seat to watch it. Nobody gives a fuck about "athletes" who only hurt themselves and eachother. Nobody gave a fuck about the supposed cruiserweights back in WCW, they said so in test-groups of the audience. Nobody will ever give a fuck about it and that's why the audience is shrinking.

Besides, fans loved Stone Cold's gimmick just as much as they did the nWo, DX or The Rock's gimmick. That's what kept the Attitude Era very interesting. Hell even Val Venis got over with the fans very quickly because of his porn star gimmick.

While everyone booed the shit out of someone like Kurt Angle during his debut. Fans didn't give a fuck about a milk drinking boy scout carrying olympic gold medals. They cared about a beer drinking redneck flipping middle fingers giving people Stone Cold Stunners. They cared about a bunch of degenerates saying "Suck It". They cared about the nWo 4 Life shit. They cared about a guy who raised his eyebrow telling people Know Your Role & Shut Your Mouth.

They don't give a shit about a nobody who may be very talented in the ring. They give a shit about a cruiserweight who jumps around with an umbrella, looking like a fruity faggot and is pale as fuck. They don't give a shit about a horse faced feminazi talking shit about bra & panties matches. Fans only care about great gimmicks & great storylines. WWE isn't delivering either unfortunately. They are creatively bankrupt.
