Good answers overall. I'm not buying the kayfabe justification for wanting to win the IC title, though.

From a purely storyline sense, Triple H is the greatest of all time when you only look at his accomplishments and not how he got them (cheating and coward shit). He has no need to pad his exhaustive list of title wins out with yet another secondary title run; going for anything less than his first Universal Title win (a new and distinct accomplishment) doesn't make sense. He has the power to give himself a match with Bork at any time, and he also has reason to bolieve he can win because he's done it before, and yet here he is chasing Roman Reigns to Abu fucking Dabi to try to win the IC title one day before an already big match with Jobber Mahal in India.

None of this really matters, of course. It's all just storyline, but it still doesn't make sense.
