I can't be the only one who sees the obvious problem here. The current WWE roster is basically the same one they had in 2002, minus most of the legends people actually cared about like Latino Heat, Booker, Rey, RVD, Stone Cold and The Rock. Even their younger performers are already well into their early 30s, and they practically have no-one in their 20s when back then the roster was absolutely inundated with them.

Triple H is one of wwe's biggest legends, anon.

People really care about him!

If only he would wrestle and grow his ass stubble back into that sweet long flowing hair

I will always dislike that he ruined WWE's developmental brand and turned it into his personal indy promotion, now the main new guys are people from out of the WWE well into their 30s.

>>72290

You know I can't think of many prospective young people who would want to become a wrestler, since WWE has been lame for years now. Right now would be people who grew up on Ruthless Aggression, but when the PG era kids turn into adults, even fewer would choose to become wrestlers. The people that do want to become wrestlers probably may not have all the goods to become superstars either, so there's that too.

Even NJPW has an aging roster with most of their big stars being older guys, though it is not as bad as WWE.

>Hiroshi Tanahashi: 40

>Hirooki Goto: 38

>Hiroyoshi Tenzan: 46

>Katsuyori Shibata: 37 (Retired most likely)

>Manabu Nakanishi: 50

>Minoru Suzuki: 49

>Satoshi Kojima: 46

>Takashi Iizuka: 51

>Togi Makabe

>Tomohiro Ishii: 41

>Toru Yano: 39

>Yuji Nagata: 49

>Jushin Thunder Liger: 52

>Ryusuke Taguchi: 38

>Taichi: 37

>Taka Michinoku: 43

>Tiger Mask IV: 46

A few people who are 35 include:

>Bad Luck Fale

>Tetsuya Naito

>Kota Ibushi

>Yoshi-Hashi

In the G1 climax, out of 20, 12 of the people who are 35 and above I mentioned are competing. Also, 5 of the foreigners competing are fairly young, leaving only 3 young Japanese guys being Okada, Sanada and Evil.

NJPW is less hectic than WWE so I can see how many people above 40 are not only still competing, but are also main eventing and are in big spots on the card. Plus these guys still perform amazingly well and put up great matches. NJPW may be in a golden age now, but when most of these old guys begin to retire, I wonder how long this age will last.

There are some part timers in there and people who aren't even there each week like:

Lesnar, Cena, Big Show, R-Truth, Goldust, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Kane. So you can't entirely count them in.

And in comparison, this was 2002's oldest members of the roster:

>Rikishi: 36 years old

>Shawn Michaels: 37 years old

>Booker T: 37 years old

>Raven: 37 years old

>The Undertaker: 37 years old

>Billy Gunn: 38 years old

>Big Boss Man: 39 years old

>Scott Hall: 43 years old

>Kevin Nash: 43 years old

>Faarooq: 44 years old

>Mr. Perfect: 44 years old

>DDP: 46 years old

>Hulk Hogan: 48 years old

Hardly main event material, aside from the Hulkamania and New Generation-era stars. Besides, most of them were gone by the end of the year or 2003 in the cases of Hogan, Nash and Raven. By the time mid-2004 rolled around, the only people on that list that remained were Undie, Michaels and Booker.

Yes, we need more fat, lazy, effeminate millenials to join the roster. If there were any good young wrestlers, they'd be on the shows.

Eliminated strowman at royal rumble, was in the main event scene after that, and had an IC title match at mania. That was his year after winning the battle royale. Fairly decent honestly.
