He got a rocket push to the top when it was obvious his skills both on the mic and in the ring were below what was required from a guy expected to be the face of the company. On top of that the way he was booked was god fucking awful varying from putting him in matches with guys much more liked than him and giving him lines like "suffering sucotash." A lot of the problems Roman has faced could've been avoided if WWE creative wasn't pants on head retarded. That said he isn't as bad as some people make him out to be, but he's got a ways to go to being a guy that can carry a company like WWE. There's also a number of people being pissy about nepotism in the WWE with Vince only pushing guys he likes and Roman gets flak from that due to being liked by Vince.
