Google and FB got sued for forced consent day after GDPR was implemented. Unfortunately there would probably be few years of legal battles before they are forced to pay anything.
Just because mainstream media does not report about it does not mean that those companies are not being sued for breaching GDPR.

GDPR happened and large tech companies with numerous and extreme cases of user privacy violation have not yet been fined multiple percent of their worldwide annual revenue, nor has there been any media progress report since 25 May suggesting such a fine will be imposed in the near future.
