I'm sticking with Linux. I simply do not trust anything available right now and would rather ride the bomb than run from the explosion it might cause. I say "might" because it's only been 9 days since the SJW-Approved CoC was implemented and AFAIK, this horseshit could get reversed the very second I finish setting up whatever OS I decided to migrate to (I have a habit of doing things that are rendered unnecessary shortly after completion). If one of you niggers forks the kernel or creates a new OS from scratch and I'm able to do everything one one machine (including any and all vidya from the past 2 years), I'll take it for a test drive to see if it work on my rig and submit bug reports to you in needed. Until then, I'm gonna stay put and avoid upgrading my OS' kernel.

I've reached the conclusion that I'm stuck with Linux for now, too. FreeBSD and 9front are CoCed, so switching to one of those isn't really a solution. I tried OpenBSD, and I can't get hardware acceleration to work for video even though my Radeon card is listed as supported and I have the firmware installed. I have two computers, and I couldn't get the NetBSD installation medium to boot successfully on either. I mean, they both boot and load the kernel and start detecting hardware, then choke, each one at a different place.

Sometimes I wish I could just stop using computers altogether.

I haven't lost all hope. Opal went through the same shit and the maintainers decided to unCoC themselves after Elia was targeted for wrongthink. It sounds like we might see history repeat itself based on how many of the users and kernel contributors are reacting to the news.

There is one fact that gets lost in all of the static: Distro maintainers don't like shipping broken code. If the next version of their OS doesn't work properly because of the kernel, they're going to sperg out and delay the release until the issue(s) are resolved.
