No, at least for me. Nearly everything new is proprietary and serves the agenda of those who wish to invade our privacy, charge us rent, and push consumerism for the sake of it. If anything, technology has become too complex for its own good, as its creation requires increasingly specialized knowledge that's locked away from anyone who doesn't invest their life in a career in whatever it is they're curious about. About the only thing that could excite me at this point is a viable method of producing ICs as a hobbyist, or a way to subvert the glowinthedarks.

Until sexbots start to flood the market, with better personalities than females, with none of the feminist bullshit programmed in, and a kill switch / robotic lobotomy option, if they do, I'd dare say no.

A new cell phone, with a new processor, isn't really "new" tech.

Write code\dissassemble something on pre 2000s hardware, or non pc consumer crap like gameconsoles pre 8th generation. Maybe you are too used to "freedom", and should take some time to fight for it. If you want a tech enema, write a competitive lithuanian chair flipping game for an apple pippin or something more obscure.

Being without modern tech made me hate it more after coming back, the only thing I really missed was the internet. Granted it was the mid-late 2000s, when I was doing this, so given the current state of the internet I'm unlikely to miss it that much.
