Unlike Davis I don't believe in God.

But if some sort of metaphysical force at the very least is out there, I hope it's tending to Terry A Davis's soul.

And above all, fuck all of the people out there, all the people who chew up and spit out minds which they don't personally consider to be normal, like it's something you should fucking aspire to.

The people who partake in the group killing of people like Terry every day.

Driving them to do things like jump in front of a train just to get out. To get anywhere, anywhere but to have to live with then electrically prodding at their minds.

I like Davis being in the top pinned post instead of Stallman. They represent polar opposites: Stallman being the extremely idealist accomplished-but-let-himself-go hacker that values ideals above everything else and considers his ideas and philosophy to be the top accomplishments in his body of work, and the absolutely insane practical doer that did absolutely everything all by himself, not dragging anyone else into his ideals, being the embodiment of force of will and perseverance and not a lazy preacher.

People have to understand that most schizophrenics don't achieve anything due to their condition. What he did was akin to winning a marathon while having to carry a gigantic rock on his back all the time.

I think the philosophy of doing as opposed to preaching would be good for /tech/.

I had the full collection of his family albums but they were big and I deleted them thinking other autists surely had them too.

There were 3 or 4 zip folders with family albums; some with Terry with a kitten in his half zipped jacket for example, they made Terry look really cool.

He leaked the URL for them in a livestream once where he showed the album to the viewers.

It was publicly downloadable, but after the redesign, they weren't indexed any longer.

know there's naked video of Terry archived, perhaps someone has a more 'complete' archive of Terry's life with the albums? I understand if they don't want them too public, but I wish I had kept them, Terry had some great pictures in there.

If anyone is interested in recovering those albums for posterity's sake, I'd be happy to share what I know and help find them. I don't wish to keep them but I want them archived if possible.

Terry was the manic type of Schizophrenic, You have to understand that he was manic most of, if not all of the time. He was awake for 48h then went to sleep for 16h I think he said. These Schizophrenics sometimes do get things done like he did, it's still very impressive. But like you said MOST schizophrenics don't get anything done, especially the catatonic or severely paranoid, even though Terry exhibited paranoia it wasn't as severe as some people who can't be outside or use a computer from the intense feeling of being watched, but maybe it was severe and he just was a 'veteran brain hacker.'
