All our computing should be reduced to this stuff and left to professionals.

Cut the internet crap. Get outta your hut.

 No.966147>>966149

Yeah. It's the internet disease.

Fall in love with a girl 8.000 miles away because you saw her photo, but don't know your neighbors that live two houses next to you.

Those are golden times, indeed!

Believe it or not, the future for consumers is exciting again:

>POWER9/Ryzen make it so that you can _finally_ have a meaningful upgrade

>OLED monitors with 200Hz+ refresh rates at 4k and beyond

>RTRT no longer a reverie

>Vulkan

>Wayland being usable, desktop Linux actually being good

>Programming losing its memetic status, may be seen as a respectable berth again

That's just off the top of my head. All we have to do now is hope that Trump puts the plutocrats in the ground. It wasn't the internet that ruined mankind, it was social media.

There are still bucolic towns in the US, with actual homogeneous communities. I came from one, moved to Hell for a job (California) and have been trying to go back since.

>Programming losing its memetic status, may be seen as a respectable berth again

It's the other way around. Programming is a meme now.

>look at use we're just like those guys in silicon valley show

>agile JS framework API IoT smart devices

>wow our startup is so cool, let's make a tech video with marimba music playing in the background

>I'm a superstar GitHub coder, look at my commit log

>dude cloud lmao

>we're friendly and inclusive, please read our CoC

True, but people are waking up to the "all programmers make six figures ezpz" tall talk.

I used to think this too, but if you ask around, people kinda know about this shit by now and I feel like it's changing, slowly. Pajeets and their programming are losing popularity and support and people are becoming aware that they're bringing their street shitting ways to programming. It's painful how slowly it's happening, but it's happening none the less.

OLED monitors will never take off because OLED's durability is inevitably shit. The future is either Quantum Dot or MicroLED.

I'm programming for fun now, not for money.

Won't change the world, but after all it's better and also cheaper than a motorbike or drinking beer at a football game.

You're right. Computers are bad for me. I'll go outside and eat McDonald's.
