Copyright is beside the point. A software maker in Ancapistan can license software with contract terms of his choosing. In addition to only licensing the software instead of transferring ownership of a copy, he can stipulate that license violations result in the enslavement of the violator. That's one of the many things that is so ridiculous about ancaps. A contract in the US that stipulated the enslavement of a person would be held invalid in court. In Ancapistan, there's no such thing as an invalid contract that people have "freely" agreed to.
>b-but nobody would agree to such a contract in Ancapistan!!!
People make bad decisions all the time. People take risks and think that they'll be able to escape negative consequences. People find themselves in extreme situations and agree to bad deals out of desperation. Etc.
>b-but muh free ancap markets! Somebody would come up with an alternative with less onerous licensing terms!
ancap free markets would very rapidly result in the creation of huge monopolies that would crush any competition.
Anyway, this is off topic, hence the sage, so I'm done talking about this. Ancaps are generally ineducable anyway. They suffer from a poisonous combination of naivete, lack of imagination, and ignorance of history that enables them to believe idiotic things and defend them with religious zeal.
