They moved it to 5ch to launder the domain into something with no legal baggage, and which Hiroyuki (who apparently now lives in Paris in order to escape various court ordered payments due in Japan) couldn't plausibly scrape to oblivion, I would think. It seems doubtful a Tokyo court verdict will help secure a .net domain seized in the US, in any case.

The real question I still have over all this is why Hiroyuki let his ultra-shady hosting company (deliberately initialed "NTT" in order to confuse itself with the real NTT keiretsu) have control of the DNS records in the first place. He surely brought this upon himself.

As usual, everything about this whole affair is an abject lesson in how not to run a site...

The only thing that matters, is evidence they can use in a court case against you. If a (((VPN))) was a honey pot, it'd be too costly to reveal that in court to get some lone /pol/ memposter.
